“I go to therapy, I journal, I take self-care days. Millie also recounted a recent incident where she felt abused over her looks in public.
She said: “The other day I was in a restaurant and I was asked if I could take a picture with this man, and I said, ‘No. I’m really not feeling like I want to today.

Chicago – This week marks the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination and funeral, but locally it was one month later – May 3rd, 1968 – that a “sit-in” took place at Northwestern University near Chicago, as protesting African American students sought change. Future actor Daphne Maxwell Reid was a participant.
Reid is an actor, activist, photographer, seamstress, designer and also currently a spokesperson for Virginia State University. Cynthia Nixon is continuing to run a campaign for governor of New York that defies convention by granting her first television sit-down interview to Wendy Williams, Variety has learned.
The former “Sex and the City” actress turned political star will be a guest on “The Wendy Williams Show” on Wednesday, April 4.
The syndicated daytime talk show isn’t usually known for landing big political gets. Instead, Williams focuses on dishy celebrity news and pop culture developments in her “Hot Topics” segments.
The draw to Nixon’s campaign is that “The Wendy Williams Show” is very popular, averaging up to 2 million viewers a day. Williams hosts one of the most-watched programs throughout the state, including in New York City, Albany, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse.
“We win by getting her in front of voters, because we actually want them to see the real Cynthia,” Nixon’s campaign spokesperson Rebecca Katz told Variety.

Gadot is noted for her role as 'Wonder Woman' in the 'DC Extended Universe', starting with "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016), continuing as the lead in "Wonder Woman" (2017), and in the first part of the "Justice League" films.
At the age of 20, Gadot carried out two years of service as an enlisted soldier in the 'Israel Defense Forces', serving as a combat instructor. She says of her time as a soldier: "You give two or three years, and it's not about you. You learn discipline and respect".
A casting director called to audition her for the part of 'Bond' girl 'Camille Montes' in "Quantum of Solace". She lost the part to Olga Kurylenko, but the same casting director hired Gadot for 'Gisele' in "Fast & Furious", with Gadot performing her own stunts.

With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tying the knot in May, and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank set to marry in October, 2018 was already shaping up to be a big year for royal weddings. Now, it's been reported that another royal couple will be heading down the aisle later this year: Charlotte Casiraghi, granddaughter of Grace Kelly (and ninth in line to the throne of Monaco), and her boyfriend, Dimitri Rassam. So, if there was ever a moment to invest in a series of outlandish fascinators, it seems that time is now. According to People, Charlotte and Dimitri became engaged three weeks ago while enjoying a family skiing trip in Austria with Charlotte's mother, Princess Caroline of Monaco. At the annual Bal de la Rose in Monte Carlo on Saturday, March 24, Charlotte debuted a diamond engagement ring, paired with an equally attention-grabbing Saint Laurent gown festooned with feathers. Though the...

Happy Friday and weekend "Bold And The Beautiful" fans. We've got some not-so-great news for you guys in regards to Bill Spencer's portrayer Don Diamont (above). As we previously reported he's currently over in Italy attempting to get his dance groove on in Italy's version of "Dancing With The Stars." Now, some new information from the folks over at Soapcentral, reveals that he has indeed been injured. Apparently, he suffered a hip injury and is also experiencing a lot of back pain. The good news is these injuries have not stopped him from competing especially when you consider that he took all that time off from the show and then had to fly all the way to Italy. The details are that Don actually got injured while rehearsing for the show. He apparently hopped on his official Instagram account to share the unfortunate news. He wrote, "Had a hip...

The Criterion Collection is going bowling. Michael Moore’s Oscar-winning documentary “Bowling for Columbine” will be released on DVD and Blu-ray by the Collection this June, ditto “Manila in the Claws of Light,” “El Sur,” “Female Trouble,” and a new edition of Ingmar Bergman’s “The Virgin Spring.”
16 years later, Moore’s take on America’s gun culture in general and the aftermath of the school shooting at Columbine in particular feels more relevant than ever, making this new release nothing if not timely. More information — and, as ever, cover art — below.
Manila in the Claws of Light
“Lino Brocka broke through to international acclaim with this candid portrait of 1970s Manila, the second film in the director’s turn to more serious-minded filmmaking after building a career on mainstream films he described as ‘soaps.’ A young fisherman from a provincial village arrives in the capital on a quest to track down his girlfriend,...

Lena Dunham was SXSW’s first keynote speaker four years ago, having premiered two films (“Creative Nonfiction,” “Tiny Furniture”) and a hit series (“Girls”) at prior festivals. Today, she returned to join Glamour magazine’s new editor-in-chief, Samantha Barry, for a conversation called, “Authenticity and Media in 2018.” At the top of the talk, Barry mentioned how allowing yourself to be vulnerable often invites criticism, and Dunham got very candid.
“Thank you for that thoughtfully phrased question, which wasn’t just like, ‘You fuck up a lot, what’s your secret to continuing to do that?'” began Dunham, who has been knocked for defending a “Girls” writer accused of rape; saying, “I still haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had;” and rehoming her dog. “I don’t have whatever the skillset is that allows you to program your own image from the outside, and make … calculated decisions...

When Stranger Things returns to Netflix it'll be for fewer episodes than season 2 delivered...
Stranger Things season 3 was officially confirmed by Netflix late in 2017, and the news certainly didn't blow anyone’s minds, considering that the show has become a certified pop culture phenomenon that has elevated itself and the aggregate of the streaming giant’s original content lineup into the stratosphere.

But when the third season finally arrives, there'll be a little less of it than we got before, according to TV Line. It'll consist of 8 episodes, rather than 9 (which is what we got in season 2). That is, however, the same episode count as season one. It's rather refreshing that Stranger Things season 3 won't fall prey to the inflated episode counts we see on some streaming series,...
