If an acid trip filmed itself and decided to make sure you never know what comes next... This is it. This film is an exploration of teen anarchy. I'll state it again... You will not know what comes next. Many films are so pretentious that they take themselves so seriously that they can loose the sense of entertainment that ultimately is the goal of most films. This is an indie film and it's goal is to be itself not another Hollywood clone.

Wild ride!

Zany, wild ride of a movie that concentrates on a group of down and out youngsters. Dialogue is realistic and natural. Nice cinematography. This is Tristan James Jensen's second feature and you definitely want to look out for this director.

provocative fresh genre film

A very nice story very well shot. Composition and acting are quite good for the film genre & style. Some moments reminded me of the classical Kathryn Bigelow's movie Point Break. Beguiled Company is funny, dark, pop and provocative. Great indie flick.
Dark & gritty rollercoaster of psychedelic nihilism & crime

"Requiem for a Dream" & "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" meets "Boondock Saints"
Some audiences may come out of this with different perspectives, but, I personally saw it as a gritty, dark tale of a group of people that, in between getting high as a kite, devolve from jaded to IDGAF degenerates (some to wildly varying degrees), and then facing consequences of their actions, realizing in the heat of the moment how their relationships have been affected by all of this nihilistic behavior.
There is some humor present but it is very understated. A scene showcasing a psychedelic trip has to be seen to be appreciated - it doesn't go off into the cliché bizarre subtext as you'd expect but keeps it grounded in reality, but in a most entertaining way. There is a balls to the wall action scene or 2 that you normally wouldn't see in an indie film but is pulled off so magnificently here you quickly forget you are watching an indie film.
For an extremely low budget film, it is very resourceful and accomplishes what is on par with popular studio low budget films (whose definition of "low budget" is a few million) that have been made by writer-directors who went on to make huge mainstream films. The only way a big budget could have changed this film is by providing name-recognized stars and perhaps better lighting in some scenes (which screams "low budget indie" look to some, but I personally like the dark and realistic lighting scheme and think it works well and was purposely done this way for artistic vision and not due to lack of funds). This has all the ingredients to later become a cult classic if director Tristan Jensen ever gets the fame he deserves. The masterful editing in Beguiled Company is on par with anything big budget Hollywood submits to award shows.
This mature roller coaster of a movie isn't for everyone, but it definitely deserves to be seen by it's target audience.

Epic film with something for everyone

I really enjoyed this film. It kept me entertained for its entire runtime of about 2 hours. While the main genre of this film is action/suspense, there are sequences of experimental film in here too. I think my favorite part of this movie is the directors distinct style and unique voice, especially his added bits of comedy during intense moments that have shown up in many of his other projects as well. 10/10, would recommend watching!
elevated genre film that delivers nicely

This is a well thought out film that bases itself on a good story and some pretty well delivered performances by an ensemble cast.
It is dark at times, with a bit of subtle comedy, but if you are fan of these this genre you won't be disappointed.

Excellent genre bending adventure

Really enjoyed this film, it was very well made and I highly recommend! There was a perfect balance of humor and tension throughout blending elements of the crime thriller and comedy genres. There's lots of subtle humor but also lots of laugh out loud moments as well. The chilling 3rd act was especially interesting with its character development and suspense. The special effects were stellar especially the gore effects and visual effects when the characters are tripping on LSD. As a local it was very exciting to see some of the familiar locations. Overall the story and characters were highly interesting and made this film one hell of a ride!
