I found all the jabs at works that are no longer politically correct and the gray area of liking such flawed works was funny. However, I still think they are using kid's gloves when referring to the controversy of Apu. They admit he's politically incorrect, but still fail to acknowledge that he's specifically used as a tool by racists to mock Asian Indians.
As for the Bart/Homer storyline, it has its moments, but it's definitely the weaker of the two. Bart almost letting Homer drown was a little too dark for the show.
