I've watched all the episodes Hulu had if there are more they are moved to Paramount + this Canadian show is a little over half hour episodes. They go to someone's home check out their backyard talk to homeowners on what their likes are and their budget.usually turning a shed Or garage into a craft room , a bar , or office etc then they make fire pits walkways seating area etc .very creative designs these two are funny as well.

Surprisingly creative.

I am really impressed at what they can do with these super small(for the most part) backyards. I am surprised that the permitting departments allow them to make so much of the property impervious and how close they can build to a property line. Things are definitely different in Florida. It is nice to see how well they work together and all the creative way they make the job happen I really appreciate Brian's attention to safety and quality building. I did however prefer it before Wayfair got involved. But I would like to know where Brian gets someof his products like the woodlooking blocks around the firepit and some of the unusually shaped pavers.

Awesome builds with great drinking game

I love watching the builds! They do extraordinary work and even taught me a thing or two. Great drinking game if you take a shot every time some one says "amazing".

I found this show delightful!! The improvements were all amazing. Their SUPER ideas fit well with the homeowner's budget which isn't an easy task. Look forward to more seasons!!! And great new ideas! *****

Basic and uninspired

Amazing is the only word I can think of to describe how bad this show is, it's amazingly bad. The designs are so basic and generic. They never utilize the space properly and create problems that would have easily been solved by a better layout. It's also incredibly annoying that the hosts belittle the clients current backyard situation and don't really listen to their needs.

Everything is DYI and looks like it. Id love to see the specs of the budgets to see where they are wasting so much of their clients money.

Every episode is copy/paste

I have no idea how this show got so many seasons. Every single episode is the exact same design: weird square building plopped somewhere in the yard, a pergola, glass panels, a fire pit, and a pizza oven (oh, and every few episodes they'll crap out a tree house). Every once in a while there will be a somewhat interesting design aspect; but for the most part, it's the same exact design re-explained as to why it will be ~*~PERFECT~*~ for the client. And the only creativity they try to implement on the show is always either something for a child that they'll grow out of within in a year or two (that would be incredibly expensive to replace) or some permanent or intrusive structure or feature that is personal and specific to the client that would make re-selling a house near impossible without additional construction to remove it.

Let's not forget the weird forced energy of the hosts. They mention they're best friends or something, but they have about as much on-screen chemistry as the cast of The Room. Which isn't surprising considering every 5 minutes they mention Wayfair which leads me to believe the company probably created this show for the sole purpose of selling their subpar furniture and just hired the first two pseudo-attractive wannabe actors soulless enough to take a $60,000 budget and turn it into $3000 worth of plywood patio furniture. Every "custom" structure can be found on the site and they act like they're geniuses for coming up with it (seriously, I took the time to check).

The only reason this gets two stars is because I'll give them this: the stonework is pretty and they do some fun things with it. But that's about it.

So if your goal is to re-do your backyard with only Wayfair items and you need some inspiration, this might be the show for you. But be warned, my sister got a Wayfair bed and she and her boyfriend broke it pretty quickly and they're both skinny as hell -- can't imagine how a playset would hold up. Might want to keep the bubble wrap.

Ripping off the people

$70K for a backyard project that you used cheap woods for the deck and fence and didn't even touch the remaining existing fence!! That is just a pure rip off! Besides the design sucks and if she thinks she is a designer then she must be blind to her awful poor selection and use of materials, colors and placements!

I just watched one episode and the dumb family with money who hired these two had no idea that with that much money you could get a much better looking modern designed backyard with beautiful Italian tiles and red mangaris wood deck and not the cheap look they got from these two. And my estimate is based on California cost in 2023 not their hometown!

A.P.E. Counts
dkonoske10 May 2022
We started watching this show and quickly realized the jaw-dropping use of the word AMAZING in each episode. This quickly developed into keeping a log of A. P. E. (Amazing's per episode) The average APE count is now hovering at approximately 11 uses of Amazing, which for the drinking game inclined, can result in nearly a dozen shots while you watch some mediocre and repetitive backyard design and construction.
