A True Paranormal Investigation
JGReviews10 February 2020
The Paraseekers is a true investigation of the paranormal activity surrounding Corrado's Farm, an 18th century farm house. I've always been a bit of a skeptic when it comes to paranormal investigations, but I wonder if I am in the minority based on the enthusiasm for the genre in tv and film. I still really enjoy going along for the ride on these types of films, and I was plenty creeped out while I watched Paraseekers in my empty house at night. Older homes with complicated history that creak and have dark basements are usually plenty to make my mind run wild. If you're one of the many who like paranormal investigations and want a good scare, then The Paraseekers is right up your alley. Check it out!

Good Ghost Story
npgroup15 February 2020
I am not a paranormal aficionado by any means, but I do find ghosts and the paranormal a fascinating and frightening topic. The Paraseekers is an interesting look at a paranormal investigation, featuring reenactments, history, and engaging interviews with a lively team of investigators. I quite enjoyed it and for those into the paranormal, this is a very entertaining way to spend a couple of hours.

Solid Watch for Fans of the Paranormal
dfranklin-418216 February 2020
If you're looking for a paranormal style documentary that treats its subject with reverence while still managing to have some levity from time to time, this doc is for you. I do wish the filmmakers would have spent more time with the people and less on VFX shots - people are always more interesting than special effects, but otherwise a solid outing.

Cool show
thejhorton29 May 2020
Clever show. definitely a step up from the first one. Love the sense of humor and tone. really liked the use of split screen. It's like a narrative version of a reality paranormal show. Really cool. Look forward to seeing more.

Lots of obviously bad reviews here
ezragarrison3 February 2020
This might be the second review I've ever written after 10+ years on imdb, but I had to comment on how bad this show/series is and the fact that a number of these reviews are clearly friends, family, cast and/or crew. This show is terrible. The filming is terrible, the acting is terrible, it's all around one of the most cringeworthy pieces of crap I've ever seen. I get making something that's a labor of love, but for God's sake, I could have made this show on my phone and it would have come out better shot and edited. If you don't believe me, pull it up on Amazon Prime and try to watch it.

Seriously????
swalden_2823 February 2020
I'm guessing this is a mockumentary but I cant find much info online. But it appears to have some over the top acting and feels cringy at times. The lead investigator looks like a "Happy Days" reject and seems to have snuff in his mouth most of the time. The first hour is just too much talking, boring. When they start investigating, well, it's pretty cringy as well. I should have shut it off after the first 5 min. It does have that "High School Project" feeling. Not even entertaining.

Carrado's Farm
royeighmey16 January 2020
This is one of the worst ghost hunting shows I have ever seen. The so called "evidence" they capture was so weak it was laughable. It reminds of a B-movie. Get a load of the dancing pixel man on the sls camera! There interpretation of events is complete speculation. Is this a mockumentary? It sure seems like it. My advice, don't waste your time...unless you need a nap.

Surprisingly Good and Better than most Paranormal Shows out there
theparanormalcritic7210 January 2020
I came across this pilot of the Paraseekers on Amazon Prime and was pleasantly pleased with it. This group stands out to me because they are genuine and show raw footage of their investigation without all the added sound effects which all the other Paranormal shows have. The team uses SLS camera's, REM Pods, EMF Devices and top of the line scientific equipment which helps in proving that they are actually capturing paranormal anomalies. The pilot called Corrado's Farm kept me intrigued throughout the entire episode and was creepy in the sense that the raw footage clearly, at least to me, proved that there was intelligent paranormal interaction. I loved this show and hope that there will be more to follow.

Fascinating.
mrdigital135 March 2020
What's very interesting to me is, I find myself thinking about the technology used to find energy and how it's used to communicate with entities. I don't know much about the paranormal world and how it operates, but I will say it is a very interesting business. Paraseekers lends itself to the world of Ghost Hunters and Long Island medium, except I do feel this focusses a little more on the emotional aspect of the genre, attempting to help a spirit cross over, but the journey to find out who the actual spirit is, is a good part of the ride! If you're into paranormal investigations this is definitely for you!

Mockumentary or serious......
stogrady-7090022 January 2020
Either way, this is awful. Bad quality and laughable over-the-top 'real personalities' blurs the line between spoof and legit low-budget 'reality'. Which ever direction was the intent, this is a fail for all parties involved, especially the viewer.

Very Good Indie Horror Flick
js190628 February 2020
I really did not know what to expect when I watched the trailer for this film. But when I saw the film I was definitely pleased with what I saw. This is a suspenseful horror film with a well crafted story line. I really enjoy films with a paranormal twist that has paranormal footage to go along with it. Now you have to take into account that the director was not working on a million dollar budget. So I give much respect to the production team for putting together a very good film. I would recommend this as a good film to see.

Extremely Awkward
mercyaintfree4 May 2020
I am currently trying to suffer through the "movie" on Prime...but man...I keep expecting the funky bass music to start, and the naked pizza man to show up like a porn flick. It's EXTREMELY awkward...everyone is very stiff...camera shots include the subjects walking in odd circles around whoever is filming. Really bad. Im waiting to see the evidence...it could change everything...but so far the beginning when Sergio recruits the team in a diner...the interview with the first client...it looks the way Mr. Rogers was filmed...bad lighting...awkward movement...dialect in obviously memorized lines. I'll be back to change things if the evidence is good....but man. This is just weird.

Warning: Spoilers
I love how real this show is. You can tell the spirit encounters are raw and unedited. Sergio seems to do his research about where to go to capture spirits on camera, and along with the Paraseekers team, they do a great job either debunking or proving the presence of a spirit. Definitely a must watch for those interested in the paranormal.

I don't know wether to laugh or cry
dougal198213 October 2020
This is truly one of the worst things I've ever watched. The acting is so bad. The special effects are atrocious. I can't even make it through 45 minutes before turning it off and rinsing my eyes with bleach.

Very earnest effort by not very bright people
annique-8301931 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I don't think this is a mockumentary. I think they're trying to find their niche in a saturated market. Whole premise is not to debunk or confirm the paranormal, it's to find out where they are and their motivation. First they "debunk" a few things to impart impartiality, then they introduce Laura Cifaldi to give a reading of the property that runs a haunted house, so of course the history of the property is already well known (something the audience wouldn't be aware of, right?). Laura relates pretty traumatic stuff without a change of voice or inflection with her New Jersey-Valley Girl accent. I've worked emergency services for 14yrs, and I've never seen someone react that way to tragedy, as the ghosts are communicating to her. So that was pretty creepy. The assumption of Christianity was getting annoying, as they kept asking if the spirits wanted to go to "heaven" as well as they treating spirts like circus monkeys, "Can you wave?", "Do that again." Spirits really are so well trained. Also not to be missed is the Kinetic stick-figure footage of one of the crew, where it just looks like he's just continually scratching his ass. Totally great for a chuckle. After 110 minutes, I was left wondering why they didn't just have Laura ask the spirits she was in communication with, what they wanted, and where they were? I mean it seems like it would have saved a lot of time and money......but then we'd miss Kinetic stick-man......ah, screw it.

Definitely One To Watch!!
paranormalfanatic17 January 2020
I love how raw the footage is and how real the characters are. If you are only used to the fake and altered paranormal shows then I don't think you will be able to appreciate what a real paranormal show is supposed to look like. It is a little on the long side but with the amount of evidence and that they are setting the beginning of how they all came together, I believe in my own opinion this will be a great series.

I was also very impressed that they didn't just rely on one piece of equipment but they used multiple items. Its like the "checks and balances" for the paranormal field.

What a lot of novice critics write about is that they look stiff or they think the acting is bad, or that it doesn't look like a Hollywood movie.......well its not supposed to because it is real life they are actually putting themselves into harms way to show the average person that ghosts are real and with the right equipment you can communicate with them. also, they are not acting, nothing is scripted, they are just simply reacting to what they feel, hear or see. It is just a normal human reaction.

For your first episode ever, I give you guys kudos for going out there cuase lets face it not many can do what you guys are doing. I expect that going forward you guys will capture more and I can't wait too see it!!

Ghost Stories Done Right
TheAll-SeeingI9 February 2020
For the sake of disclosure, I find good paranormal entertainment programming engrossing and stony; if you're looking for a flat dismissal of the genre, look elsewhere, as I destroyed a family-sized bag of Cheetos while watching "Paraseekers," and was locked in throughout this series pilot.

The mainstays we've come to demand from this content are here en masse: basement explorations, handheld cameras capturing real-time footage of either ghosts or anomalies, and unplanned treks into the vast, cold night. Yet with "Paraseekers," we're also treated to what's sorely missing from so many of its peers: a pregame analysis of the afflicted structure's historical background, and moments of levity from the ghost hunting team as a welcomed respite from the over-seriousness that too often plagues the genre.

The spirit world must feel a bit deflated nowadays, as ghosts can find themselves lumped in the same marginalized boat as God: Most of us have locked in a firm belief or disbelief, and tend to poo-poo content that cuts against those baked-in views. Oddly, I've still formed no conclusions on the existence of earthbound spirits; I just keep jamming my head with investigative content. And "Paraseekers" looks like an elite episodic vehicle with which to continue doing that. - (Was this review of use to you? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful." Cheers!)

Fun...in a way
Graham-joey12 February 2020
This was a pretty wild little ghost show. The characters are what make it such a weird thing to watch. So much that I enjoyed it.

Not for everyone. But if you're in the mood (perhaps late at night after some substances) for some lo-fi weird ghost hunters, I recommend it.

Great Paranormal Doc
darcyweir31 January 2020
The Paraseekers is a cool documentary/paranormal activity hunting film. It's a documentary not like most out there covering the ghost subject. In a way it has more re-enactments and effects driven play by plays of how a house would have become haunted by the spirits of the wronged.

I quite liked the candid nature in which the filmmaker told this story. Nothing razzle dazzle or fancy about it. Just to the point investigation and story telling with honest and believable interviews.

Excellent!! One of the freshest takes on proving that the afterlife exists!
Jennyparkerrules12 January 2020
If you have any doubt that there is an afterlife, then you need to watch this show. They have raw footage of the spirits following their instructions and communication with them. Unlike shows which has all the drama and loud music etc, these guys takes the viewers with them and everything captured is real time and raw! Granted this is probably shot on a much lower budget than shows like Ghosts Adventures, Ghost Hunters etc, I still found it much more enjoyable and absolutely more believable than most shows out there. Cool show!

I really enjoyed this show
killermonsterrules16 January 2020
Real, raw, and unedited is what they claim, I agree. Next to Ghost Adventures and Kindred Spirits the Paraseekers is now on my list to watch. The evidence they captured blew me away. I saw this with my father who is a skeptic, and even he agreed that he couldn't explain what he was seeing. Hooked!!

Let the hauting times roll, with The Paraseekers!
JordanGhanma13 February 2020
I know a lot of people wouldn't dare enter a haunted building, let alone chasing it. The Paraseekers are a group of friends and acquaintances assembled by the lead investigator, Sergio. At first, I thought it was a comedy but shortly after I realized it was a bonified search for the paranormal. Well equipped, the group rolled up their sleeves and began their search, documenting everything. Very interesting and captivating. Looking forward to the next installment.

EXCELLENT
ripbrandon-2447612 February 2020
First I would like to point out; this is not a movie. It is a journey memorialized on film. As far as the negative reviews, all I can say is, from all i read, is those people are ignorant and most likely jealous. Get a life. For full disclosure, I am part of the show and I can assure you this was not faked. Yes, the intro has special effects. Duh! It's done to attract viewers. The investigation itself has not been doctored in any way. Yes, it was edited for time. We had 15 hours of footage. This was the most active site to date. Some footage was not in the final cut because it didn't meet the team's high standard of paranormal activity. The team is excellent to work with and we have other episodes, soon to be released. Stay tuned!

In the first minute of the documentary at frame 50 you can clearly see a little girl moving against the door frame and running away the moment the camera if shifted away from her.... truly scary
