Brilliant climax
stag36015 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This was the Expanse at its best. The long lost Miller & Holden duo returned one final time, giving us a nostalgic effect of season 1. Thomas Jane somehow managed to distinguish between Miller and proto-Miller with some feint subtleties that further prove why he is the best actor on this show.

The episode is well paced and it's all ramping up to Miller & Holden finding a "switch" to kill the planet. There are some very intense scenes, like when the light shuttle almost collides with the Rocinante, and Amos' standoff against Wei and Murtry. The ending of the episode has really set us up to a brilliant finale.

A high concept science fictions

Greetings from Lithuania.

"Saeculum", 9th episode of season 4 was definitely its most interesting and impressive. What we got here is a really high concept, unpredictable science fiction. You won't see this kind of story on a current big screens, and "The Expanse" shines on a small screen in science fiction genre. Add here truly great special effects in this episode, you have a superb 43 minutes of television. Can't wait for last episode.

The payoff I waited for. Simply amazing.

Hands down my favorite episode so far!

Classic Amos shines like always, love this guy. Finally we get to see Miller again, with some crazy transformations, grasping more and more about what this being actually is. The hole episode had me on the edge of my sofa. The visuals in this one are amazing! Thats why I love the expanse so much, there is always a payoff to the (sometimes rather slow) buildup from the previous episodes.

The Journey to Eternity

Not much to say here, other than a look at the ultimate. The beauty is that we don't know what that ending really is. Holden has to trust that Miller can do what he has to do and that that is what need doing. Murtry represents all the zealots and unbalanced nut cases that have permeated history. Ozymandias.

Out of nowhere some of the best tv you'll ever see

I've felt disappointed with season 4 so far but this episode alone and single handedly has reversed that feeling and made it my favourite season yet. That is how well this show is written.

Warning: Spoilers
Dr Okoye is no more than verbally growled at by Murty and she gives up Holden's location and the reason for it. She then sits quietly until 'rescued' whereupon she makes bold demands. A glaring flaw in a faultless storyline.

Plot armour ruins all suspense
syndicateoperative16 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Every antagonist refuses to shoot, and the main antagonist who declared his intent to murder Holden didn't even ready his gun, resulting in the supposedly highly competent Murtry being defeated easily.

Every other character dies nearly instantly when shot, but the terrorist-sympathising Amos is seemingly invincible - as a result, it's impossible to remain invested in the conflict or to take it seriously.
