Hollywood Boulevard: An Interview with Joe Dante (2016)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
This fifteen-minute featurette is an interview with director Joe Dante who discusses his work on the 1976 film HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD. He starts off talking about what it was like cutting trailers for Roger Corman and then he gets into asking to make a movie. We get a great story of how Corman agreed as long as it had the lowest budget of any film the studio had made. From here we get some great stories of what it was like putting everything together on such a small budget and we even get a great story about a certain shot of Coppola. If you're a fan of HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD then you'll certainly enjoy all the stories that Dante tells. He's one of the best people to be interviewed so we get a lot of great stories including some dealing with his film THE MOVIE ORGY. Fans of the film in question should certainly check this out.
