Why? That's the question this film doesn't answer or explain. This came as one of four shorts in the Male Gaze Shadows on Skin compilation. I've seen three of the four now and this is the worst effort so far. I hope the remaining film is better.
The question that is never answered is why Fynn is out and about looking for random and violent connections. OK, he has a horribly boring job as a cleaner, but this can't explain his need for heavy vanilla sex. David and his boyfriend don't satisfy him, so he looks for more while the film uses some crass symbolism about siamese fighting fish. Finally he achieves a meeting with Tom, as stated in the IMDB synopsis. The final shot of the film returns to the beginning. But I'm not at all convinced that the numbness of life provokes such profound desires to feel.
