For some reason I've been reflecting on Footloose and getting nostalgic about the 80s, and this year is the 40th anniversary of the release of Footloose and its vibrant soundtrack which back then was on cassettes believe it or not. Anyway, one of the songs on the soundtrack was Deniece Williams's Let's Hear It for the Boy, and Williams's song is so uplifting and perfect for Footloose, which was directed by Herbert Ross and starred Kevin "Mystic River" Bacon. Anyway, the video itself is very vibrant and gets you dancing big time and wanting to cheer the inspirational.
