Jackie Rohr visits Jimmy Ryan in a cell down in Miami. Jackie is upset they didn't find the guards' bodies, Jimmy pleads that was what he thought. Jackie realizes Jimmy must know the killers.
Kick Ryan has another nightmare, worried about Uncle Jimmy. Frankie and Cathy soothe her.
Rachel and forensics techs examine the armored bank car recovered from the water. They realize there are military grade weapons involved.
Ward discusses the Miami trip with Jackie, Jackie says to get aggressive with the Grand Jury and Tommy Hayes. Rachel reports they found a bullet fragment. Ward decides to reconvene.
Rev. Fields meets with Siobhan. She asks that he respect her husband.
Jackie is assaulted by two muggers returning with a coffee to his car, they run off after seeing his badge leaving a bloody forehead.
Jenny is at a school signing in.
Siobhan meets Kayla, the witness from the church shooting. Kayla has a story about the Rev. and a trip to Haiti four years ago. At the beach, he made some suggestive comments about a bathing suit and photographs although nothing happened. Siobhan can't do much and urges Kayla to keep it quiet, or she'll be outcast.
A judge signs off on Ward's Grand Jury subpoena, warning him not to waste the effort.
Tommy and Sheehan meet Frankie at the market, Frankie says to stay cool and be forgetful at the Grand Jury, the two men are worried. After Sheehan leaves Frankie hints to Tommy he is worried their partner will talk.
At the school, Jenny goes to the gym. The young priest is happily helping out, they go for a walk in the garden. Father Doyle gives her some confidence in returning to teaching. He will arrange for her to get some experience at the school.
Tommy stops as he sees Jimmy Ryan on a street, he punches Jimmy in the gut and takes him to an alley to meet Frankie, Jimmy explains he met a woman and went to the Cape for few days. Frankie is upset he didn't stay in touch and adds Jimmy is off his meds. After Tommy leaves Jimmy says the woman he was with was an FBI agent's wife, explaining Rohr's interest.
Cathy Ryan meets Kick's teacher at the school. Kick has been sleeping in class and the teacher knows about the nightmares and fears. Cathy gets defensive as the teacher suggests counseling. Cathy leaves defiant.
Jackie arrives at the squad room to chat up Rachel. She notices his forehead and ask if he is OK. Rachel refuses his pass and goes back to work.
Ward and Siobhan chat about Rev. Fields, he wonders why she supports him. He refuses to help her help him.
Cathy has a sit down with Kick at home about school and urges her daughter to open up, the girl just wants to watch TV, Cathy slaps her and Kick runs to her bedroom.
Jenny announces to the family she will start teaching two days a week. Jackie smiles to himself, Jenny feels put down.
Frankie and Cathy rest after sex. Cathy updates him on Kick, they start arguing about a therapist, he thinks it is a good idea.
Ward comes to see Capt. Lewis about Rev. Fields and any rumors. The precinct Captain chuckles and hums a ditty.
Jackie happens to use the same restaurant washroom as Father Doyle and asks why the interest in Jenny. The priest says he was just counseling. Jackie won't let up and keeps asking aggressively. Jackie warns him to stay away from Jenny.
The Grand Jury convenes and is sworn in. Ward makes his opening statement then starts questioning Tommy Hayes. They go over his income and Kelly Kinicki. Tommy saw Kelly the night he went missing at the Ebbtide Bar. Tommy responds to each query with confidence.
Jackie says to double down on the next guy. Jackie then asks a tech to run a trace and slips the man a package. Jackie teases Ward for trying to play a tough guy.
Rev. Fields introduces Siobhan at a public meeting. They want to hear ideas on how to improve things. Ward arrives as Fields lectures about the need to fight back. A young man speaks up, a story about Tiffany Moore, shot by a stray bullet. Siobhan recalls the case, Tiffany was only 12.
Jenny enters a classroom. Father Doyle says there is a problem with insurance and she cannot teach. Jenny realizes Jackie came to see him, she leaves sadly.
Siobhan plans with Rev. Fields. She asks about Kayla and the Haiti trip. He says he was misunderstood.
Jimmy uses a pay phone. Vito the bookie comes ups behind him, with a cryptic message from Jackie, Jimmy promises to find out who murdered the guards.
Father Doyle gives his sermon about Job, Jackie watches and adds an envelope to the offering plate. Jenny is depressed.
Ward grills Sheehan at the Grand Jury. He asks about Hughes and Kinicki.
Jimmy asks Frankie what Tommy said at the Grand Jury, so he can get his story straight as he is next. Jimmy probes about the car robbery in Revere, Frankie deflects, but hints the Ebbtide is the place for drugs and guns.
Back at the Grand Jury, Ward brings up the Revere Armored Car robbery. He explains the case to the jury, taunting Sheehan who gets angry and tries to attack the prosecutor, then is dragged away by bailiffs.
Cathy tells Frankie Sheehan was arrested. They will look after his family with cash.
Ward and his team laugh about the Sheehan Jury incident over drinks. Rachel warns Jackie about his breaking the chain of evidence rules. She then gets a call from the FBI lab tech, the bullet fragment was from an AK-47. Jackie is happy he was right. After the others leave he stays behind at the bar.
