As a Syrian refugee in Sweden myself. I felt very called out in this movie. The vast majority of people I met were very kind. But I've always felt that I had to act kinder than I am, and that's to break people's prejudgments about us, which can be sensed clearly. But I stopped doing that since I decided that I'm gonna have zero tolerance for racism and micro-racism. I'd like to say "thank you" to every person that tried to get to know me and asked about my story and our suffer.
About the movie. The story builds up slowely until it somehow intense. The acting is okay. Can be done better. I also thought that the last scene was pretty dissappointing and unrealistic especially how the girl ended up with that guy. That made her seem like a shallow charecter unlike how she was presented in earlier parts. Despite all that the movie is still worth watching if you are looking for a good message and perspective.
