I enjoyed season 1 without being blown away however season 2 took it to another level couldn't stop laughing from episode one. A truly enjoyable binge and one of the best British comedies around currently!

I first saw him in "Misfits" and I loved him. In "Preacher", he stole the spotlight from Dominic Cooper. And now he stars in the series he created. I couldn't miss it.
"Brassic" currently has two seasons of six forty-minute episodes each. The story follows a group of young "white trash" people in an English country and deals with their life problems and petty crime in a way reminiscent of a mix of "Trainspotting", "Shameless" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels". The characters are diverse and mostly hilarious, and the acting is great. The first season did not leave a particularly strong impression, but in the second, the fast pace, crazy action, and British humor will not allow you to catch your breath.

A masterpiece

This show it utterly brilliant, it's written with steals and talent.
And tackled the issues of Bi-Polar And mental health..they properly nail it spot on. Joseph Gilgun, who has no-polar in real life gives the performance of his life in my eyes..I laughed. Cried and hives the tv! Well done all
Gilgun, damn you!

It kills me that there is only six episodes a season, but I'm American and we are greedy sons of _______. Regardless, I need to see more of Bronagh Gallagher as Carol. She has too little of scenes! But the real reason I keep watching is when Gilgun plays Vinnie he just illustrates the tug of war and exhausted struggle of how depression/anxiety wears on someone who sticks around because of their loved ones. It's heartbreaking and bittersweet to see how well it comes out with the supporting cast. DON'T CHANGE A SINGLE CAST MEMBER!!!! 😂🤣
Brilliant!

GENIUS - Just brilliant!!!

The writing, the delivery, the cast EVERYTHING!! It's so good. You will laugh and you will more than likely cry as well. You grow to care about every single character. They are a loveable bunch of scallywags - would love to share a beer with them all! Binge it - you will not regret it.
Joe Gilgun is a strong male lead...

Just started watching Brassic on Hulu and I enjoy much of the storyline so far. Joe Gilgun brings a lot to the table and he is supported well with his mates each having their own quirks. I find the female lead unlikable. While we can all probably say we know someone just like that, I don't find myself rooting for her. She's giving me strong Skylar in Breaking Bad vibes and I never think that's a good thing. Looking forward to season 3, but hoping for a fresh love interest. This is 2021 you don't need to be with your child's mother anymore to be happy and civil. So a little stale there but overall pretty good.
Brilliantly witty

Joe G ...all that matters

I upped the score from a 6 to a 7 because Joe Gilgun is the new Pete Postlethwaite...it's never going to be as amazing as This is England obviously, goes without saying, but it's just so amazing to see Joe in a main role at last
Not funny at all

If you have a sense of humour I'd give it a miss. Watched the first episode and had to be told it was a comedy as I couldn't tell. Like I said if you have a sense of humour I'd give it a miss. If you find people like Russell Howard and micheal McIntyre etc funny then you might enjoy it.
Outrageous Entertainment at its Best

I just binge watched series one and it made me laugh out loud. The last two episodes were the funniest for me. I love Gilgun in this and you can tell he played a large part in its creation. The rest of the cast were perfectly selected and kept me entertained. Don't listen to the haters. Yes they are a dysfunctional bunch and completely outrageous but it's meant to make you smile and I personally think it was done brilliantly. I cannot wait for series two. Keep up the good work everyone!

Fantastic show you get drawn into each of the characters story and it leaves you wanting more. The cast is a perfect fit. Joe Gilgun is amazing at whatever he puts together and the closeness within the gang is felt and relatable. Can't wait for season 3

It's daft, it's farcical, it's chuffing brilliant. The brilliant cast is sheer perfection and the outlandish capers just get more and more bizarre as the series progress. The best British comedy for years (ever?) and a must watch. The highlight for me is foul-mouthed farmer Jim, played by the brilliant Steve Evets, he had me in tears.
Loved It

I've been a huge Joe Gilgun fan since the outstanding This Is England series and I felt that this might just be worth a watch.
I sat and watched episode one and before I knew it, I was watching the end of episode 6. It is really very, very good.
As with anything that Joe Gilgun does, there are moments of outstanding comedy and also genuine, heartbreaking emotion. I saw an interview with him where he said of Brassic that it was related to his younger self, and I know that he really does fight bipolar so this was him baring his soul for all to see. No spoilers here so you'll need to watch it for yourself, but believe me, you'll thank me for it.
It's funny, genuine, extremely well acted (the casting is genius) and I sincerely hope there is going to be a series 2!

Two words for this series: incredible good
thor20291 December 2020
I'm not a big fan of a series like this, but for once I can say that I really enjoyed myself with this BRASSIC. An incredible series, completely disguised, beautifully interpreted, fills many incredible dialogues that make you laugh and think, Serious and Tonic at the same time. A great relaxing time, and we all need it. I can say that this series has literally distressed me in every episode and it's rare enough to underline it.
Interesting but not wow

After all the hype I felt a little let down
However it's a decent show with since interesting nods to older movies
MK seems top hold the key to building the shoe together
Since funny bits and themes but needs ti step up to be ad good as the pre show hype

Joe Gilgun is absolutely superb in this gritty comedy loosely based on his own life. It tackles many sensitive subjects such as depression and suicide but still manages to make you laugh raucously the whole way through. It's that good that I would expect the US to have it's own version in the not too distant future, a la Shameless and The Office. The only downside to this show is that theres only 6 episodes per season although that is to be increased on season 3.
