Some funny moments here.

Passions finally prosper, as Madge finally softens somewhat to Gastric, and Mr Newbold finally expresses his feelings to the sophisticated Mrs Rossi.

This was amusing in parts, after all of these years we finally see the tough side of Mavis, we've waited twenty years for her to have an outburst. Also it was terrific to see Archie Panjabi who played Jasmine, what a terrific bit of casting, she is a wonderful actress, let's hope she appears in more.

Funniest scene where Mavis popped up from behind the counter. Followed by the washing-up scene. 7/10

This might be the strangest episode of Still Open All Hours I have ever seen.

Has Roy Clark been abducted by aliens?

For the first time ever we see Cyril's wife. She is only played by international television and film star Archie Panjabi. From The Good Wife to Doncaster.

Mavis makes it clear that Granville is her man. A battle call against Mrs Featherstone. Meanwhile Gastric manages to impress Madge as he goes spider hunting up in the attic. Come on Roy you are supposed to spin these stories out for years.

Eric and Cyril are flogged some aftershave (with aphrodisiac qualities) by Granville and they manage to snag their own wives when they go camping. They might have also ended up in the planet of the apes!
