I only learned recently that Rivers of Babylon was a Rastafari song written and recorded by Brent Dowe and Trevor McNaughton of the Jamaican reggae group The Melodians in 1970, so it's over 50 years ago and it lives on and on, especially through Boney M's incredibly famous rendition in 1978. I remember when I was many years later reading Psalm 137 that I thought, haven't I heard this scripture before, and then I realized it was from Rivers of Babylon, which would be one of the few mainstream secular hits to have scripture from the Bible. Anyway, definitely the song is worth listening to for sure.
