The Ghost of Greville Lodge
7 November 2005
The Ghost of Greville Lodge was so enjoyable in every way. I had it taped and watched it over and over. The only fault I could find was with the quality of the sound. Perhaps it was the video tape I was using.

It contained all the necessary ingredients, Fear, sadness and love. Prunella Scales is always guaranteed to give a good performance.

It had a feel of one of those strange things that happen in our lives from time to time and never gets explained. We don't see enough of these type of productions. Lovely location too. I especially like the scene with the Christmas tree. I write short stories from time to time and this has encouraged me to do so more.

So So
7 January 2003
I saw this over Christmas and though I did enjoy it, I feel there were some things wrong with it. I really didn't like Watson. I felt he was a horrible cold character. It's good that they didn't make him out to be a clown but they didn't show him as the caring person he was. Holmes had no personalty in this production. The settings and locations were brillant and full of atmosphere. The hound looked like a dinosaur from Jurassic Park. I couldn't make up my mind about Miss Stapleton and Sir Henry Baskerville.Sometimes I thought Miss Stapleton was a bit modern looking for the part. I didn't like the changes in the story. Holmes taking drugs was over done. I think the Hound of the Baskervilles will need to be made again.

I saw this as a kid when it came out first. It was the closest to the Book. The fact that it was dubbed didn't take from it. I have not seen it since and wonder would I still feel the same. I would recommend this to anybody

Kidnapped (1978)
The best version ever.
9 June 2000
I saw this version of Kidnapped in 1979.I think it was the best one that was made. The theme music was really nice.It was called David's theme. It was very haunting and lonely. I would love to see a repeat of the show.I feel that Robert Louis Stevenson would be happy with this production.
