True Lies (1994)
classic
This movie is a classic comedy/action. The master of film James Cameron, has made one of the funniest comedies with some of the greatest action sequences you'll ever see. This movie is exciting from start to finish and has one of my personal favourite scenes out of all movies (the bathroom fight). This film is another masterpiece from James Cameron.
The Cable Guy (1996)
phew
I'm so happy other that there are other people out there that realize how great this movie is. The truth is nobody really likes this movie the first time round, I didn't. So see it again and lift your grudge against it. This movie deserves more
The Thin Red Line (1998)
not like any other war movie made
The Thin Red Line is not for people who are going in expecting fast paced action movies. This is probably the longest movie I have ever seen that doesn't have a set storyline. A lot of people are going to dislike this movie because of its extremely slow pace. I didn't like this movie while I was watching it but afterwards I respected it because I know that if I was a lot smarter I would have understood and enjoyed it.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
outstanding
T2 in my opinion is the greatest movie ever created. James Cameron is a god. Every terminator fighting sequence was done brilliantly and makes me watch the movie over and over. It should be remembered forever as being the greatest action movie ever made. The only movie that could ever top it would have to be a Terminator 3 but only if it was done by Cameron. Anyone who doesn't like this movie has something against action movies.
I would give this movie and the theme music a 10 out of 10.
Necronomicon (1993)
why?
why do they keep making such bad movies from such a great horror writer. It's because it cannot be done! In the Mouth of Madness was the only movie where a H.P Lovecrafts style was apparent but this? pathetic. maybe if these stories had nothing to do with the necronomicon (which could easily be done) they may be a little better but not much. If you have never read H.P Lovecraft you still wouldn't find this movie very entertaining so skip it, it's not worth the bother.
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
the one and only
The original and the best, a horror classic. Very well done, even for today's standards.
Clueless (1995)
bopper flick
This movie is a classic for all the stuck up 13 year olds who are in love with Leonardo Decaprio and aqua. they all wish that they lived like the people in this movie which will never happen as it is one of the most insanely idiotic movies I have ever seen. it is full of actors in their 20's playing 15 year olds and everybody owns huge luxurius cars. Aside from all that the movie is not boring and I could sit through it.
Arachnophobia (1990)
you'll be checking your bedsheets for the next week
this has to be the scariest movie I have ever seen. I advise people that don't like spiders not to watch it because it is extremely distressing. There are lots of scenes with hundreds of live spiders and spiders attacking people. after you watch it you'll be very cautious for the next few days.
Riven: The Sequel to Myst (1997)
impossible!!
when I got this game I thought that I would eventually get through it but i couldnt so i cheated...As i made my way through this game i realised that there is no way on earth i could have gotten close to beating this game. You have to be a complete genius to get anywhere. I know there are people out there that have finished this game without cheating. YOU PEOPLE ARE GIFTED!! Anyway besides that the graphics are great the scenery is outstanding. You get the feeling of entering another world a fascinating world. All up its worth getting but unless your extremely smart get the walkthrough it doesn't ruin the experience.
Eraserhead (1977)
on its own
This film is so strange that when it finished i was asking myself "did i just watch that?" I am fascinated by this film because it's the only film i hate and love at the same time. You hate it for its dark and depressing surroundings but you love it because it shows that so well. i won't even bother to actually figure out what is going on in this movie but i can say he has a cool hair style.
Willow (1988)
great!
This is one of the best fantasy/adventure movies ever made. I have seen this movie so many times I know the whole thing off by heart and I could watch it again right now and still enjoy it as much as I did the first time I watched it. For a movie to achieve this I think it must be truly great.
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994)
Hated by as many people who like it
This movie is an original, the comedy is very different to other comedies so a lot of people don't like it. I must admit I didn't like this movie the first time I watched it. But now I own it! I think this movie is a comedy classic! Ace ventura is the man! He's so cool, funny and extremely strange. I think that's why a lot of people don't like this movie they see this person who is so strange that in real life nobody would laugh just put him in a mental hospital (hehe).
Scream (1996)
good thriller, but not a horror!
I went to see this movie expecting a good horror movie, but I got a mystery/thriller so I was disappointed but beside that it was a well made film with lots of suspense and scares. I like the way it gave you so many suspects to choose from. Great movie I recommend it to anyone.
Spaceballs (1987)
best!!
This is my favorite comedy ever! with Spaceballs every funny bit is extremely funny. Every second line is a classic one. This is easily Mel Brookes best work ever 10 out of 10.
The Nanny (1993)
BAD!!
This show is one of the most un-funny shows there is. The main character of a good comedy usually has a funny style about them and is a comedian off the show. Fran Drescher is not a funny person every joke is so obviously set up. This show was alright when it started but after three episodes the same jokes kept on popping up. Alright if you like endlessly recycled jokes.
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998)
Fantastic
This movie was great!, one of the cleverest movies I have ever seen. Very violent great soundtrack. So much happens in this movie that you forget what happened at the start. The ending makes this movie an individual. This movie is one of my favorite movies it's up there with Pulp Fiction. 10 out of 10
Top Gun (1986)
sucked
This movie was terrible, it ends so unexpectedly and it's not really about anything. When this movie ended I was so shocked I thought "this is it"? It was just about two guys in top gun flying. Pathetic!!!
Full House (1987)
Brady Bunch in the 80's
This is one of the most horrible shows that came out of the 80's, I can't believe it stayed on for so long. Every episode was the same jokes over and over. The actors were horrible the jokes were bad, very similar to "The Brady Bunch" but worse.
Tommy Boy (1995)
Only Chris Farly can do it
Fantastic movie, Chris Farlys humor made it one of my favorite comdedies ever!. David Spade is the complete opposite of Chris which is why the movie is so funny!
The Night Flier (1997)
this is a great one
I didn't expect this movie to be very good, All of the recent Steven King movies have not been very good, but this was not like him at all. It is a fantastic horror movie. I recommend it for any horror lovers...this is a great one.
The Evil Dead (1981)
a classic idea....a classic movie
How could I see this movie and not comment on it. The best horror movie ever made (and on extremely low budget). Sam Raimi makes the perfect spooky atmosphere with the gnarled old trees and the old cabin.
Fantastic idea using the necronomecon and the freaky dagger.
The monsters are great the way how to kill them is great.
A must see 10 out of 10
Child's Play 3 (1991)
Pretty good
It is rare for a third movie to be the best, but Childs Play 3 was the best of the three (even though the other two were exellent) great horror movie scary and funny 7 out of 10
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
the one and only
The original and the best, a horror classic. Very well done, even for today's standards.
In the Mouth of Madness (1994)
top class horror film
John Carpenter has done it again with In the Mouth of Madness. This movie is one of the cleverest and well-made horror movies ever. Also very under-rated
Braindead (1992)
sick!
There is no doubt that Braindead is for a select group of individuals, If you don't like blood and guts then there is no point in even reading this. When you hire this movie you expect to see a pretty sick movie but it still shocks you at how sick a movie can get. This is a very funny zombie movie where pretty much everything turns into mince meat.
