Lush Erotic Masterpiece
17 August 2000
"Wide Sargasso Sea" is a very elegant, sexy, melodrama about the meaning of love. Young Creole girl Antoinette Conway is married to Englishman Edward Rochester, and the two move to her coastal home in Jamaica. Seeds of doubt are placed in Edward's mind by servants a mysterious man sending letters about Antoinette's mother, who went insane, and Edward fears that Antoinette, like her mother, will go mad. He turns a cold shoulder towards her, and unknowingly destroys his wife. Kinda slow, but worth it, it makes you think and has the feel of a gothic potboiler.

"Wide Sargasso Sea" is Unrated for graphic sexuality and nudity.

NOTE: "Wide Sargasso Sea" is available in R-Rated and Unrated versions. The R-Rated version trims out two minutes of sex scenes, while the Unrated versions keeps them in.

9½ Weeks (1986)
Slow, Tedious, But Interesting Sexual Drama
17 August 2000
"9 1/2 Weeks", while containing a few sequences of sex and nudity, is nowhere near as shocking as it might once have been considered. Kim Basinger plays Liz, an art gallery employee who meets Wall Street trader John, played by Mickey Rourke. While their romance is at first sweet and romantic, things begin to quickly change. John initiate a series of kinky sexual trysts involving food, a hooker, and an enticing striptease performed by Liz. But the time comes for Liz to question the nature of the relationship and ask herself, Is this really healthy? The movie is very, very slow, and in parts, very boring. If your watching this for the much hyped sex and nudity, don't bother, besides the occasional glimpse of Basinger's breasts and butt, there isn't much here to see. See it, just don't expect too much.

"9 1/2 Weeks" is Unrated for strong sensuality and nudity, and for some adult language.

NOTE: "9 1/2 Weeks" is available R-Rated or Unrated, which is one minute longer than the R version. But the Unrated version is no more graphic than a regular R-Rated movie.

Bound (1996)
Brilliant, Super-Sexy Neo-Noir Thriller
14 August 2000
"Bound" will go down in history as one of the best, sexiest mob thrillers ever. Ex-con Corky has just been released from prison and gets a job fixing up an apartment in a ritzy building. She soon hooks up sexually with mob moll Violet, whose boyfriend Ceasar launders money for some violent gangsters. Quickly they hatch a clever scheme to steal 2 million of the mob's money and make it look like Ceasar is responsible, but things don't always go as planned. Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly heat up they screen as a lesbian couple, and the film is super suspensful from the first minute on. Highly recommended! See it now!

"Bound" is Unrated for pervasive strong language and violence, strong sexuality, and for some nudity.

NOTE: "Bound" is available Unrated and runs a few seconds longer than the R-Rated version, and adds a few more seconds to the lesbian love scene.

Jade (1995)
8/10
Ultra-Stylish Murder Mystery
14 August 2000
"Jade", written by Joe Eszterhas, has enough sex, nudity, and violence to keep it from ever becoming boring. Millionaire Kyle Medford is murdered and Assistant D.A. David Corelli is assinged the case, and all clues point to his former flame Katrina Gavin as the prime suspect. Katrina is now married to David's best friend, hot shot lawyer Matt Gavin. Every time Corelli uncovers a new witness, they are wiped out leaving him with no clues to go on, and it now appears Katrina may also be a prostitute catering to rich men under the alias of Jade. The ending is quite unexpected, and you'll never guess who the killer is. Try to see the unrated version because it adds a lot of footage cut from the R version and has a better ending.

"Jade" is Unrated for strong aberrant sexual content, nudity, graphic violence, gore, and for adult language.

NOTE: "Jade" is also available in an Unrated version that includes 12 minutes cut from the R-Rated version. It has extra scenes of dialog, stronger sex and nudity, and a much better and less choppy ending.

Dark, Moody, Entertaining Sequel
20 July 2000
"Hellbound: Hellraiser II", the sequel to Clive Barker's hit Hellraiser, is just as good, maybe better. Kirsty is confined to a mental hospital run by Dr. Channard, obsessed with the Lament Configuration. Sooner or later Channard uses a patient to resurrect Julia and bring forth the Cenobites. Great, great sequel.

"Hellbound: Hellraiser II" is UNRATED for extreme violence and gore, sexuality and brief nudity, and for language.

NOTE: "Hellbound: Hellraiser II" is available in both a heavily cut R version and uncut UNRATED version.

Jason's Back!
19 July 2000
Resurrected by a jolt of electricity, Jason boards a ship taking Crystal Lake's graduating seniors to New York and proceeds to slaughter the teens aboard. After the ship sinks he trails the few survivors to New York. Okay series entry, but not up to par with part 7.

"Friday the 13TH Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan" is Rated R for graphic violence and some gore, brief nudity and drug use, and for profanity.

Great Movie in Series

"Friday the 13TH Part VII: The New Blood" is one of the very best in the series. Young Tina accidently killed her father with her psychic powers at Crystal Lake and returns there years later with her mother and psychiatrist. She accidently releases Jason from his watery grave which spells doom for the group of teens partying next door. See it now, you'll love it.

"Friday The 13TH Part VII: The New Blood" is Rated R for some violence and language, sexuality and nudity, and some drug use.

Okay Sequel
19 July 2000
6th "Friday the 13TH" movie is just an okay entry, there is almost no really gory moments, it seems watered down. Hero of the last two movies, Tommy Jarvis, digs up Jason to make sure he's really dead, but a bolt of lightning resurrects him, and he returns to his murderous ways. Can Tommy stop him? Tries to be funny, but it's really not, and the open ending is kind of a drag.

"Friday the 13TH Part VI: Jason Lives" is Rated R for graphic violence and some gore, sexuality, and for language.

One of My Favorites

"A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child" is a darker, scarier entry in the series. Freddy returns after Alice offed him in the previous entry and gains access into Alice's mind by using her unborn baby's dreams. Her friends begin dying and she thinks she's going crazy. An appearance from Freddy's mom, good effects, and clever writing bring this entry to an above average level.

"A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child" is UNRATED for some strong violence and gory effects, sexuality, brief nudity, and for adult language.

Michael Awakes!
18 July 2000
Michael Myers awakes from his decade long coma and returns to Haddonfield, setting his murderous sights on his young niece. Dr. Loomis follows Michael's bloody trail and tries to stop him. Good opening, fairly scary, not to bloody, and with an exiting finale. This comes highly recommended.

"Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers" is Rated R for mild horror violence, gory effects, language, and brief nudity.

Good and Bad

Fifth film if "Friday" series is above average but has a few flaws. A killer is preying on a secluded halfway house and it appears to be Jason, has he returned? Enjoyable, but a lack of violence and gore really damages the movie.

"Friday the 13TH Part V: A New Beginning" is Rated R for graphic violence, nudity and sexuality, and language.

Best In The Series
18 July 2000
Fourth in the endless series is the best of the lot. Jason is carted off to the morgue but revives and butchers teens around Crystal Lake. A family lives nearby and the sister and brother fight for their lives against Jason. Very violent but with good chase scenes. See this movie.

"Friday the 13Th: The Final Chapter" is Rated R for extreme violence and gore, sexuality and nudity, and for language.

Extremely Entertaining
18 July 2000
The second best of the Friday the 13TH series, this picks up right where Part 2 ended. Jason kills a couple hicks at their home, then heads to a nearby cabin and proceeds to slaughter the group of teens vacationing there. Follows the formula of the first two films, but is even better than those! High recommended.

"Friday the 13TH Part 3" is Rated R for graphic violence and gore, language and drug use, and for brief nudity.

"Friday the 13TH Part 2" is a very good horror flick. Set 5 years after the first film, Jason stalks a nearby summer camp, eliminating counselors one by one until one fights back! Very entertaining.

"Friday the 13TH Part 2" is Rated R for strong violence and some gore, sexuality and nudity, drug use, and for language.

Striptease (1996)
Hilarious Stripper Flick
25 May 2000
"Striptease", a very funny adaptation of writer Carl Hiaasen's darkly humorous novel, has tons of laughs and nudity. Single mom Erin Grant is trying to gain custody of her young daughter from the hands of her scumbag ex Darrell. You see Erin works as a stripper at the Eager Beaver and soon she becomes caught up in a scandal with a congressman who is totally smitten with her, and is clearly deranged. See it!

"Striptease" is UNRATED for nudity, erotic dancing, violence, and for language.

NOTE: "Striptease" is available in both R Rated and UNRATED versions. The UNRATED copy contains two extra minutes of strip scenes and nudity, while the R Rated version does not.

Crash (1996)
SEX-PLICIT EROTI-DRAMA
25 May 2000
"Crash", director David Cronenberg's controversial adaptation of writer J.G. Ballard's equally controversial novel, concerns the exploits of a car crash obsessed group of nutjobs who get very aroused by accidents and then go have quick, meaningless, and very hot sex in cars, cars, and more cars. Thats about all there is to this movie. But I liked it, most people didn't though. It is rated NC-17 so don't say I didn't warn you.

"Crash" is Rated NC-17 for graphic sex and nudity, car accidents and gore, and for some drug use and adult language.

NOTE: "Crash" is also available in a cut R version that trims out ten minutes of explicit sex and nudity. Try and get the NC-17 version, it's much better.

Extremely Sexual Adaptation of Anais Nin's Book
25 May 2000
"Delta of Venus", director Zalman King's erotic adaptation of

praised writer Anais Nin's book, is a lush, sexy, dramatic film. It's 1940 Paris and young aspiring writer Elena Martin begins a hot affair with smut author Lawrence. One night Elena catches Lawrence in the arms of another and leaves him, then she supports herself as a nude model and begins writing erotica for a wealthy male patron. But she can't write about it until she experiences it first. I highly recommend both the book "Delta of Venus" and the movie version as well.

"Delta of Venus" is UNRATED for strong sexual sequences, graphic nudity, and for some language.

NOTE: "Delta of Venus" is available in a slightly cut R Rated version that omits one minute of sexual footage, and an UNRATED version that restores the cut minute.

Poison Ivy II (1996 Video)
Very Hot, Very Sexy, Very Erotic
24 May 2000
Warning: Spoilers
Poison Ivy 2: Lily is a great movie, much better than the first. While the original Poison Ivy was very tame (it's only nudity was a brief shot of a bare butt) Poison Ivy 2: Lily contains loads of nudity. Lily arrives at an art college where she takes up with sculptor Gredin and poses nude for her art teacher Donald Falk. Soon Donald is so obsessed with Lily that he tries to rape her and that leads to some tragic consequences for all involved. I did enjoy the original Poison Ivy but enjoyed the 2nd much more because it dared to show more bare flesh and had a good storyline. I recommend that you see both films.

Poison Ivy 2: Lily is Rated R for strong sexuality and nudity, adult language, and for some violence.

NOTE: Poison Ivy 2: Lily was released in two versions: an R Rated version that trims some sex scenes, and an UNRATED version that contains two more minutes of sexual sequences.

Jade (1995)

Sexy, Stylish Murder Mystery
24 May 2000
"Jade", written by Joe Eszterhas and directed by William Friedkin, is a supremely sexy and intense murder mystery soft-core porno. Millionaire business man Kyle Medford is murdered in his house and all clues point to Detective David Corelli's ex Katrina Gavin, now married to his best friend, hot-shot lawyer Matt Gavin. But David slowly picks up clues that a prostitute named Jade may indeed be the killer, so he sets out in hot pursuit of this unsavory character, hoping to clear Katrina's name. There is so much onscreen: sex tapes, sex talk, violent murder, brutal attacks, chases, fights. But it all surprisingly works thanks to fine actors and a well thought out script.

"Jade" is UNRATED for strong aberrant sexuality, nudity, graphic violence and gore, and for profanity.

NOTE: Jade is available in an R Rated cut that omits some sex, nudity, and plot structure, and in an UNRATED versions that runs twelve minutes longer.

Boxing Helena (1993)

Interesting Psycho-Sexual Drama
24 May 2000
"Boxing Helena", the controversial directing debut of Jennifer Chambers Lynch, is an extremely interesting parable about love and sex in any relationship. Dr. Nick Cavanaugh is totally obsessed with vicious sexpot Helena, a maneater with a voracious sexual appetite. Nick tries at every opportunity to impress Helena, but she constantly humiliates him. One day Nick lures Helena to his mansion but she becomes enraged at him and storms off into the street where she is hit by a truck and, to save her life, Nick amputates her legs and keeps her prisoner in his home. Later, when Helena becomes to much to handle, Nick takes things one step further and cuts off her arms, making her totally dependent on him. Will Helena fall in love with Nick or spite him? Very controversial film succeeds on every level and is an impressive directorial debut for Lynch.

"Boxing Helena" is Rated R for strong sex scenes and nudity, some violence and for language.

"In The Realm of The Senses", a Japanese import, is SO sexual frank and graphic that it will turn many viewers off, as it combines "true" sex, graphic nudity, and weird story angles. A former prostitute takes up a sexual relationship with her boss and soon they marry. They become obsessed with sex and spend all of their time engaged in it. The woman tells her husband not to sleep with another woman or she'll kill him. The end of their relationship is ultimately tragic and depressing.

"In The Realm of The Senses" is Rated NC-17 for VERY EXTREME STRONG GRAPHIC SEXUALITY, acres of nudity, graphic violence and some gore.

NOTE: This film is not for children as it contains actual scenes of oral sex and penetration shots.

Brilliant Erotic Drama

Eyes Wide Shut is the most interesting film of the decade. The plot revolves around Dr. William Harford and his wife Alice. After arriving home and smoking pot, Alice admits to Bill that she once considered throwing away her whole life for a one night stand with a naval officer she had never even met before.

Bill goes out that night to visit the daughter of a patient that has just died, and even later meets up with an old friend of his who admits to Bill that he plays piano at mansions even night while blindfolded. Bill learns the password to attend the "party" at the mansion and then rents a costume. He arrives at the mansion, gets inside, and witnesses a giant orgy where everyone wears masks and cloaks to conceal their true identities. Bill is discovered, and that's when things become complicated. See this, it's one of the best films of the 90's.

Exit to Eden (1994)

Anne Rice Novel Watered Down
9 June 1999
Exit to Eden is really a movie with two plots. The first: combat photographer Elliot Slater travels to the sex-fantasy island of Eden to confront his aberrant sexual inclinations and, while on the island, begins a romance with Eden's head mistress, Mistress Lisa. The second plot: Detectives Fred Lavery and Sheila Kingston also travel to Eden pursuing supercriminals Nina and Omar, who are also on Eden to kill Elliot and retrieve the pictures he has taken of them. This is a well made movie with some laughs, sex, and bubbly romance.

Exit to Eden is Rated R for strong sexual content, nudity, mild language, brief gore, and some violence.

Wild Orchid (1989)
HOT, HOT, HOT
9 May 1999
Wild Orchid is a steamy erotic flick that probably won't please everybody. Young lawyer Emily is signed to a law firm and flies with her boss to Rio and when Emily's boss leaves for a meeting, she sets Emily up with Wheeler, a successful real estate developer who Emily is attracted to, but cannot have because he is impotent. This leads to Wheeler setting Emily up with an American business man for sex, cross dressing, and steamy sexual pairings. While the R Rated cut of Wild Orchid is quite graphic, the Unrated version is even more so. If you like trashy drama and erotic scenes, then you might enjoy Wild Orchid.

Wild Orchid is Unrated for extremely strong graphic sexuality, nudity, adult language, and for some mild violence.
