Oppenheimer (2023)
Boring zzzzzzz
I love all Nolan movies , but Jesus this was boring #boring
Lots of boring american politics , very little science #boring
I came away not really caring much for the Oppenheimer character, I neither liked or disliked him , him getting screwed out of his next Job was boring , I couldn't care less , the guy did seem to be easily manipulated so maybe should not have top level security clearance #boring
Pointless being shot in iMax really waste of money
The only thing I liked was the use of sound , it had to use sound to prevent it being a 3 hour talk fest.
Downey junior was the best actor in the film.
The Insider (1999)
a simple story made fantastic by Mann,Pacino & Crowe
What is essentialy a very simple story is made into a compelling masterpiece by Russel Crowe and Al Pacinos performance's.
Michael Mann certainly is the mann as even with the great acting the film would have been very dull with out the direction of Mann. His ability to keep the atmosphere of the film going through image and music is second to none. Suspence is held throughout with a kind of feer to the characters.
We have to wait till the end for his trademark slow motion frame, but it well worth it.
Excellent Film.
The Funeral (1996)
Painfully Slow Gangster movie, don't be fooled by the big name actors ! 4/10
This is movie is so slow its unbelievable, There's not enough action to make up for this and makes the whole viewing experience very disappointing. It's got all your favourite gangster faces in it but sadly the film gives them nothing to do.
Scam (1993)
A Tale of 2 Scammers makes a very watchable TV movie. 7/10
A quite easy to watch tale of 2 thieves, with that love/hate type relationship between them. Chrisopher Walken stars and is very good as the silent rogue with a scam bigger than he's letting on.
Heat (1995)
An Epic Tale of Crime
A modern masterpiece of a film.
A beautiful tale of bank robber(de-niro) and detective(pacino) Excellent performances from both actors. A moving film showing more than just the robberies with focus on all the main characters. The film is shot in fantastic style with the little michael mann trates (slow motion, helicopter views) and great sound too. It's a must own film and I've just voted it as my favorite movie ever.
Jackie Brown (1997)
slow moving but still tarintino enough for a fan (just)
far to slow, I'm a huge tarantino fan but this tested me, it was like sitting for 2 hours waiting for the 10 minutes at the end. If samuel wasn't in it I think it would have got stopped before the end.
City of Industry (1997)
Cult gangster/robbery movie - not many around so a must se
A Good movie worth seeing as theres not many in this genre.
