Warm Springs (2005 TV Movie)

Better than I thought, a good look inside
15 May 2005
As a Republican, my first thought of this movie was not to watch it... However, I was interested in seeing the personal life and struggle of FDR. Agree or disagree with him, watching this movie you come away a man who had his flaws, but overall was a good man, and learned from his flaws, he learned to except his situation, and also to interact with the common man, which some claim they can do but really aren't even close. This is a good movie, especially for people who know much about politics but would also like to know of the personal lives of such powerful people. The only thing about this movie that I would give a negative too is they spend a great deal of time through the first hour and thirty minutes, but rush the last 20 minutes of the movie. Overall 8 out of 10.

A very rare underrated Classic!
13 October 2000
I saw this movie about two years ago while I was up studying at around 4:00 A.M. Lee Marvin plays an outlaw that takes three runaway teens under his wing. He teaches them the tricks of the trade in bank robbing. The movie takes on a surprising twist towards the end. A very nice movie that almost NEVER comes on TV. If anyone knows how I could get the VHS version, please email me. Thanks. I give it a 10.

The Haunting (1999)
Thank God for Catherine Zeta Jones!
1 July 2000
"The Haunting" was a high expectation, big flop movie. There were a few scenes of terror, not many though. The movie also depended too much on pure special effects instead of a good story. I do have to say though that Mrs. Catherine Zeta Jones is the only reason I would ever watch this film again. She certainly played a different role in this movie. I personally loved her in "The Haunting". She brought some well needed kindle to the fire of this film. I give the film a 4. However it would have been a Complete BUST without Catherine Zeta Jones.

A rarely seen classic with three great actors
30 March 2000
This movie has not received the best reviews but I have always loved this picture. I'm not an old movie buff, I'm only 19 but I've always been a huge Lee Marvin and Strother Martin fan. This movie has three great actors together Marvin, Martin, and Oliver Reed as the Indian "Joe Knox". Watch this film and you'll see three screen legends in a comical role with a good story plot. Marvin and Martin show the comical side to themselves and Oliver Reed presents a superb and funny performance as an Indian. "The Great Scout And Cathouse Thursday" is a Great movie with Great actors. A beautiful movie that deserves a 10 rating!

One of my favorites!
8 June 1999
I have always loved this movie, me and my family first saw it together when I was 5 years old. I loved it then but didn't understand it. Now I'm 18. This movie is directed by Jack Nicholson, he puts together a very good cast including John Belushi, Christopher Loyd, Danny Devito, and Mary Steenburgen in her first movie. He plays a wonderful, funny part in this movie as an outlaw that is saved from the gallows from a very pretty woman named Julia, she and him don't get along at first, they have nothing in common then they learn how to get along by a strange coincidence. One of my top five Jack Nicholson films one for the family and everyone!

Burt Reynolds at his best!
29 May 1999
What a great movie combining comedy and music into a SPORTS movie. Burt's second best movie behind Smokey And The Bandit, in my opinion. Another one of Robert Aldrich's great films. Has many good actors in it including Eddie Albert who plays a very different character for those used to his green acres character. Richard Keil is also in this movie. I love it. Great movie for football lovers, Burt Reynold's lovers and comedy lovers.

A very Funny Vincent Price Movie
29 May 1999
Comedy Of Terrors is a very rarely seen movie that is a shame because, it is a pretty good movie. The movie was discontinued in 1998 for some reason. You can still see it once in a while on tv. Watch this movie with Vincent Price as Waldo the desperate undertaker and his assistant Peter Lorre, the movie also has Boris Karlof who plays a funny part. Basil Rathbone makes an appearance and doesn't seem to want to die. The movie is filled with many good parts and if you like Vincent Price you'll love this movie. Watch this movie!

Very funny!
23 May 1999
The Comedy of Terrors is one of my favorite Vincent Price movies. Vincent Price gives a wonderful performance as Waldo the desperate Undertaker. Peter Lorre is also very good as his assistant. A very funny movie, also has co-stars Boris Karloff. I give it a 10! I have no idea why it's not on television more often.

Wow! The Best Zorro ever.
23 November 1998
The Zorro classic The Mark of Zorro is truly a classic in my opinion. Tyrone Power was excellent in this film, probably his finest role. I think this classic film should be on television much more often. I thought at first the Errol Flynn version of Zorro was the best, but this film upstages even Flynn's dazzling performance. What a wonderful film.

The Dirty Dozen: A truly great movie for all people.
2 November 1998
I love this movie! The Dirty Dozen is a perfect blend of war-time action and comedy. John Cassevettes plays Victor Franco, a trouble making prisoner who gives the Major all the trouble he can handle. Lee Marvin plays the stubburn but none the less brave Major Reisman who leads the twelve prisoners against impossible odds. This is one of Marvin's best movies. The Dirty Dozen is a classic war movie. Directed by Robert Aldrich, the film captures brave men dying in the line of duty to serve their country.

Summary of: Yankee Buccaneer staring Jeff Chandler.
30 October 1998
Yankee Buccaneer is a pretty good action at sea movie. I had just recently seen it on AMC. I thought that Jeff Chandler played a brilliant part in the movie. Has some action and some good acting. I think you will like this movie and should give it a chance. On a scale of 1-10 I give it an 8.
