Falcone (2000)
Definitely thumbs up series.
Never could get interested in ER, by way of example, but thoroughly enjoyed "Falcone". These people of necessity were inscrutable at times--cover your feelings or be found out, or lose your power over your gang. Very complex situations. Have to remember some "easterners" have different cultural "faces" than "mid-westerners". The acting had to be very much controlled and the eyes had to do a lot of the talking.
Too bad families might really have to go through such a life-style to catch criminals.
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947)
Timeless romance story.
I first viewed this movie in 1947, and, after 52 years found it to be just as endearing as the first time I saw it. The scenery, great cast, and relaxed atmosphere is a welcome change to some of the offerings of Hollywood today. Being a perpetual romantic, it was still a one (1) Kleenex movie. Besides the romance, there was a confidence in the living of a life fully with the awareness of good things to come. Alice Boxell
