Restless (2000)
A soft-focus Mac Ahlberg romp
1 September 2000
It was nice to see a Mac Ahlbeg film made in the North after all those years. Even though he is not the director of the film it is him one first think of because he made a lot of soft-focus romp during the 70's both in Sweden and Denmark.

Well, for people living in Sweden it is a film which confirm the misconception they have about Finish people: drinking way too much directly from the bottle, bad language and sex-hungry women always looking for a thrill.

Love Rites (1987)
Well Done Boro!
30 June 1999
This a total Borowczyk experience; well acted, fine dialogue, beautiful set and what not!

One jolly-irritating moment though, the prostitute (Marina Pierro) overdoing her alertness while crossing a busy Paris street leading her blinded lover (Mathiew Carrière) on the way to her friend's flat.

Except that slight moment it is just fabulous.

Not as good as "The Voyeur"
4 May 1999
I saw P.O.Box Tinto Brass yesterday and I must admit that it is not as good as "The Voyeur". The most disappointing thing is that the sound track from "The Voyeur" is reused here and the whole thing feels jolly-cheap. I liked two scenes though; the opening and the angry housewife who got a telephone call from a stranger.
