Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1998–2007)
How Can You NOT like this show?
23 December 1999
This is by far the best show on television! As I read through the other comments people had submitted about this show, I noticed that no one had anything negative to say, and how could you!? This show brings so much laughter to me every Thursday that I've caught myself making sure I'm home for it! There probably could have been a better host chosen than Drew Carey, as his jokes aren't funny, and he's terrible at the skits! I'm not going to hold that against the show though, considering the true stars are Wayne, Collin, and Ryan anyway, and they are absolutely flawless. I only wish this show was an hour instead of 30 minutes. Good fun, laughs, and the chemistry Collin, Wayne, and Ryan have with each other on stage is what truly makes this show a charm.

Wonderful, touching movie.
19 September 1999
This movie was absolutely wonderful. To tell you the truth, I wasn't very excited about having to watch this movie; I didn't see it as being my type, but that just proves that you can't judge a book by it's cover. Jessica Lange and Michelle Pheiffer brought the plot to life with their incredible acting abilities. I'm glad Jennifer Jason Leigh didn't have a big part though, as I am not too fond of her. There is a surprise about the father in the movie too, if you have not yet seen it. It is a wonderful film, and I recommend seeing it.

Simon Birch (1998)
An absolutely incredible film; one that makes you laugh and cry.
27 May 1999
Simon Birch is a wonderful movie. The story of Simon Birch truly touched my heart, and gave me a new outlook on things. Seeing Simon, a young boy with multiple health problems, have such a wonderful outlook on life is great. Simon believes that he was on a mission from God to do something, he just isn't sure what that mission is. While the movie makes you cry, it is also outrageously funny at times too, like when Simon and his best friend go in the lake and it is freezing cold, Simon always said a little saying as soon as they walked in. Also, when Simon says to his best friend "Your mom is so hot; sometimes I forget she is someone's mother". These parts of the movie really help you to get to know the young character of Simon, and understand that while the boy is told he is going to die, he is still a wonderful person, and doesn't let anyone bring him down. I love the parts when Simon reminds his friend that he is a miracle. The young boy that portrays Simon has tremendous acting abilities, and makes the role of Simon come to life. I've never been one to cry in movies; I have only cried in two movies my entire life, but Simon Birch was one of the two that I cried in. (The other one I cried in was "Hope Floats" in case you are wondering). This movie will have you crying tears of laughter and tears of sadness. All I can say about this movie is that it could'nt have been done better, and I give it five stars. This movie really makes you realize the power of friendship and love.

Love Serenade (1996)
Worst movie I have ever seen.
27 May 1999
This has got to be the absolute worst movie I've ever seen in my entire life. Not only is the plot absolutely awful, but the actors bring no life to the roles they play. Boring, ridiculous, terrible ending....I could go on for days. Never before have I seen such an awful movie (I can't emphasize it enough). This movie is not worth your time. It centers around a radio D.J. who two sisters both like. The entire movie is boring and cannot keep your attention (with me, it never got my attention in the first place). I would rather sit through "Barney and the Alphabet Zoo" before I watch this again.

Sesame Street (1969– )
It does not get any better than this.
27 May 1999
"Sesame Street" is a show that you can never be too old for. I, like all Americans have grown up watching "Sesame Street". I have learned so much from this show, from Maria teaching me Spanish, to Count Dracula teaching me how to count. As I am 15 years old now, I am not ashamed to admit that if I am flipping channels and see "Sesame Street" on, I watch it. Not only does it bring back memories of being sprawled out on the floor glued to the television screen as a toddler, but I still learn things from it. That's right; I'm 15 years old, and "Sesame Street" is still teaching me things. This show simply can't ever end; it gave me something to watch when I was younger, and it allowed me to be so ahead of my classmates when I went to kindergarten and all through elementary school, really. I absolutely love this show, and my children will hopefully grow up on it, and my children's children will hopefully do the same--just as I have. I LOVE YOU SESAME STREET!

The Waterboy (1998)
Absolutely horrible--I laughed once!
26 May 1999
I was told by my sister that "The Waterboy" was an awesome movie, and I also believed it would be from all the hype it received. I have always thought of Adam Sandler as a decently funny guy....not my favorite actor, but funny at times. I went into "The Waterboy" expecting a great movie. I came out of "The Waterboy" disappointed at a terribly horrible movie. I think that people today give Adam Sandler more than he is worth, by inflating his ego when deep inside, he isn't a good actor nor an outrageously funny actor as people pursue him to be. "The Waterboy" was absolutely terrible, from beginning to end. I literally laughed once at a movie that I expected to be hilarious. That's it. A two hour movie and I laugh once. Pretty pitiful movie.

7th Heaven (1996–2007)
THE MOST RIDICULOUS, BORING, UNREALISTIC SHOW ON TELEVISION.
26 May 1999
This television show has got to go. Never before have I seen such poor actors, unrealistic plots, and boring subjects on a television show. I tuned in one day and saw Lucy upset because she had not gotten her period yet. Just when I think that it wouldn't get any more ridiculous than that, I was wrong. Lucy's big sister Mary is telling Lucy to stand upside down on her head, because "that will help her get her period"! That was the most absurd topic of a show that I had ever seen. Also, I saw another show. This show was the episode where in little girl got a tic-tac lodged in her nose, and couldn't get it out. The girl's family (being the over-exaggerating family they are) panicked and thought it was the end of the world. Now let's be serious. If your 4 year old does something that is expected of a typical 4 year old (like putting something up their nose) is that really something that you should interrupt church about by yelling and screaming? No, not at all. They were acting like the girl had a heart attack when she merely had a little tic-tac in her nose. It seems to me that the show "7th Heaven" is very lame and unrealistic. I say that it is unrealistic, because in addition to what I have already mentioned, the family over-exaggerates about everything. The way that they handle their problems are in no way like the way that a typical family would solve them. Typical families don't have "family meetings" for some minute problem, and most of them don't tell each other to stand upside down to start their period either. I have seen many people on this web-site that have called this a "good family show". I see it as just the opposite. I wouldn't want my children watching a show so meaningless, unreal, and STUPID. Do you really want your children watching a show where the cast stands upside down so that they can get their period? I should hope not. You know what the saddest thing about this is? "7th Heaven" is a new show. It is not like the show has been running for years, and they are running out of topics. It is a new show, and they still can't think of better topics? Two horrible thumbs down is what I give this lame show.

Melrose Place (1992–1999)
Melrose Place: The show that leaves you on the edge of your seat; just waiting to see who is going to sleep with who next.
26 May 1999
Melrose Place. When I hear that name I think of backstabbing sluts who can't stay with one man for over a month. I think of Men stealing and fighting, and hating one another. Do I enjoy watching this "garbage" (as many people have labeled it)? YOU BETCHA!!! I absolutely love Melrose Place! I have watched Melrose since the first episode which premiered when I was in third grade. Each episode of people sleeping around with one another and fighting all the time keeps me coming back for more each week. Melrose has really been through a lot; from the very beginning shows when Vanessa Williams was on them to the very last shows with Kyle McBride and Eve. The show of Melrose Place was wonderful, through everything (although I must admit it was at its prime in the first few seasons when the original cast was still on there). I am so glad Josie Bissett came back to the show--I love her! Thomas Calabro is such a cutie, too--he and Josie work so well together. Melrose is a show I will miss. There is one thing I never understood though--why was Heather Locklear always listed as a guest star after being on every show for years and years and years??? My all time favorite part of Melrose history was probably when we saw Kimberly standing on the beach at the end of a show, after we all thought she had died, and I also loved it when she took her wig off and we saw all her veins, after she had been in that accident!!! I give Melrose Place 3 1/2 stars!!!

Home Improvement (1991–1999)
I loved that show, and it's so hard to see it go.
26 May 1999
I have watched the show "Home Improvement" ever since 1991, when I was in second grade. I must say that it is one of the absolute best shows on television, and it is so hard to see it go. I have followed the show from the time the boys were in elementary school to now, when they are all teenagers. The ideas and techniques that were put into this show are superb, like never showing Wilson Wilson's face, and the fact that Tim always got hurt in every episode! Those things kept people coming back for more. The show kept you laughing for a half hour, and also kept you crying at the final bows of the last show. The actors in this show could'nt have done a better job, and I will miss tuning in to see all of them every Tuesday. It has been a good eight years; thank goodness there will still be reruns playing! And one more thing; I LOVED how they had Al walk out in a plaid tuxedo when he took his bow! We finally saw your face Wilson!

Hello, Dolly! (1969)
Two enthusiastic thumbs up; "Hello, Dolly!" is the best they come!
26 May 1999
Hello, I am a 15 year old girl living in Atlanta, GA, and I wanted to take a moment to express my thoughts about the movie "Hello, Dolly!". I was in the play "The Matchmaker" a couple weeks ago, where I played Dolly Levi. For those of you who aren't familiar with "The Matchmaker", it is the play of which the movie "Hello, Dolly!" was based on.

I must say that the play and the movie are absolutely spectacular. Every little detail, every little line adds so much to the play, and really makes the audience have interest. There is not one aspect of the movie or the play that I would change, I love it all; everything from the first act where Mr. Vandergelder is getting his hair cut to the fourth act where Dolly and Horace get engaged. This movie, unlike most, is so wonderful that you just want to see it over and over again. It is absolutely hilarious, but at the same time it lifts your emotional spirits, after you see Horace and Dolly fall in love. I would recommend this movie to anyone, from age 9 to 99. it is truly a movie for everyone; whether you like singing or dancing or comedy or drama, "Hello, Dolly!" has it all. If you have not seen this movie, you don't know what you are missing!
