GREAT!!!
25 June 1999
I received my copy of the End of Evangelion movie in the mail today. For those of you who do not know, the End of Evangelion movie is a re-working of the last two episodes in a longer, movie format. Although the events of the last two episodes of Evangelion fit into the movie, this movie gives a better explanation of the last of events.

The last Angel has been destroyed, but what now? SEELE launches an attack in an attempt to take control of NERV. Eventually, a series of events lead up to a shocking conclusion.

This movie is GREAT. Without a doubt it gives somewhat of a clearer ending and more closure to the great Neon Genesis Evangelion saga.

Blah!

I was told this was one of the best anime series ever created, well...it's not. Quite frankly, it is about as complex as Pokemon.

The characters is this series are so-so. They really aren't that great, and often times annoying.

The plot isn't unique at all. A TYPICAL shoujo girl names Miaka Yuuki goes out to find her seven warriors so she can make her dreams come true. BORING. It's the same day to day plot in every episodes. MIAKA is in trouble, TAMAHOME to the rescue. And back and forth, you can't have a moment where everyone is ALL RIGHT.

This is even more sappy than the Titanic. Oh Tamahome, I love you! I love YOU Miaka, it really will drive you nuts.

In the end, this is an awful, boring, chick-flick of an anime. Don't bother getting it, get something with more depth instead.

Semi-good

The second Sailormoon movie takes place a Christmas time, and revolves around Luna.

This movie is overall good. Why?

You get to see the Outer Senshi(minus-Saturn). They don't have that good of a part in the movie, but do have their kick-butt moments.

Princess Snow Kaguya is cool, and the plot revoloving around her is interesting.

The animation in this movie was superb.

Basically, my interest was kept the entire time. The manga version of the movie is much better, but this is still my favorite Sailormoon movie.

Sailor Moon (1992–1997)
Great!

Although Sailormoon S is the best SM series, Sailor Stars is my favorite.

The animation is an upgrade from the four other series. It really looks much better.

The beginning episodes, actually the first six, finish up the plot of SuperS and re-introduce the Outer Senshi. The first six episodes are very well done, and are never even boring.

After the Nepherenia arc is finished, Sailor Galaxia and the Sailor Starlights show up and leave everyone confused. Some of the episodes may be filler episodes, but they are great.

The characters are great, I liked having the Outer Senshi back. The villains are my second favorite. They are all great.

I have lost interest in Sailormoon, and will not be getting VKLL's finale to the series, but this series is still my favorite series of Sailormoon.

Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995–1996)
Superb!

I have other favorite anime titles, but Neon Genesis Evangelion is really hard to beat. This is the best anime ever produced, which is more of a fact than opinion.

What makes Evangelion so good? Everything. The plot is orignal and spell-binding. Some people may say "oh, it's just about a kid saving the world.", but that is totally false. The series has so much depth, and the plot is something that really makes you think.

The characters are really well done! My favorites include Asuka, Misato, Kagi, Toji, and Pen-Pen. By the end of the series, you feel like you really know them. Even the characters that you hate, are really well done.

Some people say the ending sucked. Which, I can understand. As GAINAX drops the action-plot, and tries to send a message.. But, although the bizarre ending makes you really want to know how the Third Impact happens, the last scene really sends an up with people ending that will make you feel good. Do not despair, you can see the plot-ending in the non-dubbed "End of Evangelion" movie. It's not released in the the U.S., but it is not hard to find a fan-subtitled version.

All 26 episodes were released the in the U.S. via ADV films. Although they are expensive, ADV is a good anime company. I watched the dubbed version, and was really impressed. I recommend the English dub.

Evangelion is not your typical plotless-mecha, it is much, much more.
