For a movie w/ some holes, it was entertaining.
19 April 2006
The movie had some good one-liners. They did a great job in casting for this movie. However, the movie also had some a couple of spots in it where you would ask yourself, "What were they (the characters) thinking?" I also wondered why some of these couples settled with their mates. I felt like I never had a chance to find out what makes these folks tick. The last issue I had was this: in 2006, Jennifer Aniston (Olivia) turns 37; Joan Cusack (Franny) turns 44; Catherine Keener (Christine) turns 46; & Frances McDormand (Jane) turns 49. What I don't understand is how the four of them are friends? They were not classmates were they?

There's a drop off from 2001's "Ocean's Eleven."
14 December 2004
I was a bit disappointed in the sequel to 2001's "Ocean's Eleven." After watching the first movie, I could not imagine the characters finding themselves in the situations that they got themselves into in this movie. The movie (125 minutes) seemed to drag one a bit too much. Catherine Zeta-Jones' character seemed to be too much of the knowledgeable law person, surrounded by incompetents. To me, the most comical part of the storyline was when Bruce Willis made a cameo as himself. I am not a fan of Julia Roberts, but out of the few movies I've seen with her, her performance in this movie was my favorite (granted, I have not seen Erin Brockovich yet).

Ana Claudia Talancón was very believable & a hottie.
5 December 2002
The performances of both Gael García Bernal (Father Amaro) & Ana Claudia Talancón (Amelia) were very impressive, even though their relationship was pretty predictable. I hope to see both of them in some English speaking movies in the future. They did have a nudity scene, & they did not overdo it, even though they did have the chance. The movie really shows how that at times, when some people are given a little bit of power, they will abuse their authority.

It was a cute movie.

I enjoyed "Miss Congeniality." Most of the casting I was happy about. Candice Bergen, William Shatner & Michael Caine had outstanding performances in their supporting roles. Even Sandra Bullock did a good job even though she is too old to do pageants. Benjamin Bratt looked & seemed lost in the movie. If he had a little more of his TV character, he would have done a better job pulling it off. Blame it on the script. The average Bullock fan should enjoy this movie. It's worth renting.

Vertical Limit keeps you on the edge of your seat.
9 December 2000
When I saw the previews for `Vertical Limit,' I was really impressed with all the action. The movie has a lot of great action that a disaster movie should have & the scenery of New Zealand, where the movie was shot, was beautiful. The workload on the cast to make this movie looked very demanding. However, I felt that parts of the movie plot was a bit predictable, & foreshadowed a bit too many times.

Undressed (1999–2002)
Very addicting
2 November 2000
I had heard about "Undressed" from other cable channels, but had not sat down & watched it until recently. To me, this is an ideal soap for the high school & college age since all the characters are of that age group. They show enough skin to keep the viewer interested, & you find yourself talking to the characters. I only watched three episodes & I found myself trying to tell a character what to do. Unfortunately, MTV pulls the plug on a lot of interesting programs once when they seem to getting steam. Look at "Remote Control," & "Singled Out."

Psycho (1998)
4/10
The movie was outdated.
2 November 2000
The 1998 version of "Psycho" needed to be set back in the 60's, rather than present day. The headliners would have done a good job with the setting. There were two scenes that just stuck out like a sore thumb. The first one was at the beginning of the movie when Marian Crane (Anne Heche) was sitting at her desk. Her boss took his client into his office because "it was air conditioning." I imagine that the majority of Arizona businesses have air conditioning. The other was the meeting of Lila Crane (Julianne Moore) & Sam Loomis (Viggo Mortensen). Lila sporting the Walkman seemed like an exaggeration to update the movie. The movie did spook a number of the viewers in the theater.
