Excellent & accurate portrayal of frontier life.

Set in 1848, Montana Territory, this film is an excellent & accurate portrayal of frontier life. Starring Ben Johnson, Iron Eyes Cody, Jack Elam, Lana Wood & Alex Cord, it shows indians and settlers as they really were. Thoroughly enjoyable for the Western Film Fan.

Coroner Creek (1948)
One of Randolph Scott's best...

Spectacular scenery highlights this Randolph Scott movie. Scott was 50 yers old when this was made and he never looked better. He is a man out to avenge his fiance's death caused by veteran bad guy, George MacReady. Lots of action and great fun watching Scott do his thing.

One of the 5 Great Westerns of all time.

George Stevens has created a masterpiece with his blending of story & visual beauty while at the same time bringing out Alan Ladds greatest performance. This movie is deliberately slow paced so as to build to a slam bang climax. Jack Palance is the most evil of bad guys & plays perfectly opposite good guy with a past, Ladd. The supporting cast is excellent, top to bottom. Stevens was a perfectionist & it shows well in this film.
