The Greatest (Sports) Show of All Time
5 September 2023
Winning Time is the greatest sports show of all time. Granted that list is a short one. What is not a short list is the greatest shows of all time and Winning Time is that too! The cast is brilliant. Quincy Isaiah as Magic Johnson is absolutely magnetic. John C. Reilly (Jerry Buss), Adrien Brody Pat Riley), Jason Clarke (Jerry West), Hadley Robinson (Jeannie Buss), Gabby Hoffman (Claire Rothman), and Solomon Hughes (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) all deliver impeccable performances. I was late to the party on this show, only beginning watching it after the second season began. I do not remember the last time I looked forward to the latest episode of a show with as much anticipation. Every basketball fan knows how each season is going to end, yet watching it unfold on the screen is intoxicating. This show could go on forever with so many spin offs that fans would love to see, Jordan's Bulls, Bird's Celtics, Bad Boy Pistons, Shaq and Kobe Lakers. I hope this show never ends!

Exactly As You Expect
11 December 2015
Anyone who was expecting a great film going into this one is a complete tool. This is not a great piece of art, but it is funny. I was a big fan of Sandler movies in the 90s and lost all interest in the 2000s. Have not watched any of his movies since Little Nicky, but I thought "what the hell?" and gave Ridiculous Six a look. Not the greatest thing I've ever seen but was not expecting it to be. I can honestly say I enjoyed this movie. For all those reviewers who are skewering it for being stupid, don't think too hard. It's a farce and farces are generally farcical. So if you are looking for a couple of laughs and are not looking for Lawrence of Arabia, The Ridiculous Six is worth a viewing. Did I love it? No. Was it a brilliant masterpiece of American cinema? No. Will I watch it again? Maybe. It was certainly more entertaining than 90% of the crap you troglodytes lap up at the box office.

Drive by (2002 Video)
NO GOOD!!!
18 March 2002
This was the absolute worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life. I sent my dad to the video store to rent Joy Ride and he shows up with Drive By! I have never seen acting so bad. My dad tossed it in and everyone in the room (5 people) was asleep within ten minutes. My advice to you is DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE!!!

Emilio and Charlie are back
14 August 2000
I recently rented this movie and I must say I thought it was pretty darn good. Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen give solid performances as the Mitchell brothers. Now this movie is not as good as Boogie Nights or The People vs. Larry Flynt, but it is still a solid film. The cinematography is brilliant and Charlie Sheen is superb as the younger of the brothers. I highly recommend you check this one out.

Horrible
18 July 2000
I have seen many movies in my day but I must say I have never been more disappointed by a movie in my life. The whole time I watched this movie I was bored out of my mind. The little trick ending could not even save this terrible excuse of a movie. I highly recommend that if you are thinking of seeing this movie forget about and pick up a copy of the much more exciting and thrilling Stir of Echoes. If you have already seen Stir of Echoes then get Little Monsters because The Sixth Sense is pure torture. Bruce Willis does a god awful job and that kid hardly acts at all. I Highly recommend that you skip this abomination and get something worth seeing.

Gummo (1997)

Brilliant
7 March 2000
When I saw Gummo I was with my brother. I was flipping thru the channels when I stopped on the Independent Film Channel. My brother said he saw it and thought it was awful. He did not want to watch it again. I thought that it was an outstanding movie. I sat there and forced my brother to watch this movie he hated. I loved it. It was just so bizarre. I thought that it was great how the characters walked around in worn out Krokus and Dio shirts. It really captured the trashiness of the town.
