Lady Oscar (1979)
awful, skip it!
This film is an absolute joke. The acting is so horrible that I got up during the film and went to check IMDb to have some entertainment from all of the scathing reviews I was sure I would find... Well, the critics didn't even bother to review it and the only published review was from a person who is probably related to the director or the producer. This film is so bad, I'm sure 40 years from now it will be a cult film simply for its downright awful acting!

LET'S DO THE TWIST !! LAME1 LAME! LAME!
Hey, I won't rehash the storyline but I will rehash the users' reviews:
1. TWIST!! Where was it?? Maybe I am programmed by Hollywood to look for some unusual aspect of a storyline...never happened here and thus, I write this off as an unintelligent flick.
2. Someone mentioned the earring. YES!! This bothered me too!! I kept wondering (and hoping) it was a mole. The earring was totally OUT of place with Harrison Ford's character!
3. Yes, airlines check ID's - so traveling under another name is pretty hard to do these days.
4. I think the actors did a superb job with what they had to work with. The only problem was that the story is weak. OK, so what do you do? Radically change the book's story (I haven't read it)? Or change it enough [put a TWIST in] to make it happen? Then if you choose the latter, you risk having the author sue you for plagiarism because in this case, you would have to really rearrange things.
I was looking for a plot twist on the political aspect of this movie. It was sitting right there and no one went for it! Even better - how about connecting the corrupt cop with some aspect of the dead husband? What about having Harrison Ford's dead wife a victim because she was somehow swapped for another person?
Basically, this story is LAME and I cannot imagine ANYONE wanting to make a movie out of it. The actors should get Oscars just for saving face in such an obvious omission!
I never recommend NOT SEEING a film; watch this and make your own conclusions. And while you are doing so, think of ways to improve this dog.
