Sheep in the Big City (2000–2023)
Witty and Charmingly silly!

I thought this show looked cute when I saw the trailer and it is....very! They are constantly making fun of the military, infomercials and other commercials, plenty o' puns too! If you like Johnny Bravo, Dexters Laboratory and The powerpuff girls you gotta see this!

D-U-M-B!!!

Warning: Spoilers
The keyword for this show is DUMB! I don't know whether they were going for campy or what but here are the mayjor things phoney about it: (may be spoilers) firstly the main guy who is supposed to be hispanic sometimes speaks in California/American accent or a for sure Swartzenegger impression! Secondly the weapon the main guy (Swartzenegger wannabe) uses is like a dragon head except it shoot out of its eyes!! Well I won't complain anymore, I guess you can't expect much from a childrens morning show, I just wish they would show people children could realisticly use as rolemodels.

I bought this on the recommendations made here.

I fully concur with all the above. A wonderful film about a wonderfully talented and undersung human being we are lucky enough to have record of in his extraordinary movie clips. The first video is just plain fun and the third video is as satisfying and joyful as the second is painful. Truly a great documentary for anyone who enjoys biography. 10/10

I waited 30 years to see this film...
2 November 2000
I was 19 in 1970 when it came out and having heard how funny it was when it came out and reading the reviews here, I finally rented it and watched it. I didn't laugh once - a very unfunny flick - and I usually love Reiner. I cannot for the life of me figure why this is seen as funny. I had not one chuckle. And I love comedies! Oh well, at least now I know what all the shouting was about. Not my idea of a comedy. Go rent The Navigator or The Love Nest by Buster Keaton - now THOSE are comedy classics! If you rent this one - have a back-up rental so your whole evening isn't a loss. Score 3 out of 10

The Love Nest (1923)
VERY funny!
23 October 2000
I watched this with my 2 kids aged 10 and 12 in attempt to give them some further experience of silent movies. We watched all the Our Gang comedies, including the silents, 5 years ago - we've seen several Chaplin films (Modern Times, City Lights). These few films we are watching of Keaton's will definitely start a new round of silent film appreciation. I think this is the funniest of the bunch we have right now, but my kids love the Navigator even more. They have even introduced a few of their friends to the joys of this classic era. It is painful to know of genius not recognized in its time, and I think that is why so many people compare Keaton and Chaplin so often. Chaplin got the fame and fortune, Buster got a bad deal and never lost his spirit. Keaton was an extraordinary human being as well as one of the film greats - remembered for his greatness of character and the depth of his on-film persona. I give this one a 10!

I loved the movie but...

Great movie - great feeling leaving the theatre with my two kids when my daughter said , "I liked it but I'm confused". Yeah, me, too. The ending in its attempt to "explain" muddied things and created unnecessary confusion, leaving both my daughter and I with our good feelings slightly annoyed...otherwise, I would give it a 10. Breslin and Willis are a joy.

Some good guffaws but...
8 September 2000
Overall very Hollywood and ...oh, what the heck - yeah, violence is treated in a campy style that many will find distasteful. It annoyed me more than my 12 year old, but then, I have seen more violence and its realities than she...but then she is growing up in a more violent world and maybe this is the perspective needed by our future generations. Matthew Perry was the best part of the movie with his funny faces, Bruce Willis didn't really seem to have much to truly act on, the women were the usual young hotties without much more to do than get naked and look gorgeous but it was okay - rating 5/10.

A really feel good horror flick?
8 September 2000
Yup. That's how it is. This movie left my 12 year old daughter and I both feeling really good! I know a lot of people who have refused to see it because it is a horror flick, and I guess it is - but not really! Best seen on video so you can watch it a second time.

Good movie
8 September 2000
It didn't knock my socks off with insight, but I liked it. Willis' crying was far more realistic than either of the women's in the movie - I could feel his pain. The ending satisfies, dialogue is good and I loved the flashbacks. As a struggling single mother, though, it is hard to feel empathy for the rich lady who cries about having to be "responsible for everything" when she lives in a big fancy house, doesn't have to work out of the home, and has a husband who is too much fun. Seems the issues could have been more obviously painful, but maybe those are the things rich people have to complain about - hard to find reasons when the heros look like Michelle Pfeiffer and Bruce Willis, neither are unfaithful, and they have no money worries, huh? But, I liked it.

I resisted seeing this film because of the obvious violence
8 September 2000
But,if violence can be well-handled, this movie did it. It won me over to the genre. I have since watched the Terminators and Lethal Weapons, etc. This movie was such an extraordinary work it broke through years of resistance! I have watched it over and over - great storyline, great storytelling, extraordinary special effects - perfect casting. All acting was top-notch and Keanu Reeves was completely charismatic - something I had never felt from him as an actor before. I rate it 10/10.

I had no interest in ever seeing this movie -then...
8 September 2000
My neighbor had rented this video and asked if I wanted to see it before it went back. What a lucky break! All acting was top notch with extraordinary filming and deeply moving storytelling. The creation of mood through softened, slowed flashbacks, carefully used music, and countless other creative techniques effortlessly drew me into their world. One of the finest films made in a long time. Now I own it!
