A Simple Plan (1998)
10/10
Brilliant!
14 October 2007
I am amazed by this movie from beginning to end....in every aspect: acting, character development, plot development, directing, cinematography (excluding the obvious out of sync dialog that occurs...what a shame) It is not often that movies make you THINK and boy does this one sure DOES!! Some movies I would ask questions but EVERYTHING that happens here is CLEAR...there are no doubts or questions. You just have to follow very closely and watching it twice is helpful if you are uncertain on any parts. I think this movie is not only brilliant but very haunting....it sticks with you and if you are lucky enough to find it on cable WATCH IT! I plan on buying it.

Worth watching!
8 September 2007
This was actually a very good "lifeless" movie (that is what my husband calls them). He woke up in the middle and was actually watching. I don't know what there is about Shannen Dougherty but I think she is a very good actress..I really do. She leaves her lover because they are constantly fighting and gets her own apartment in downtown NY and her nightmares begin. Someone is stalking her via telescope from the apartment building across the street. Horrible, disguised, scary phone calls to her are creepy.! I have to admit she does everything possible to try and get out of her situation. Let's just say I watch a lot of Lifetime movies and this one has some twists and turns that keep you guessing!

Infuriating movie! May contain spoilers!
6 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
*****Warning: May contain SPOILERS********* My HUGE problem with this movie is how totally self-centered and self consumed the adulteress wife is!! After having a one night stand with a slimy psycho she is being stalked by him. He calls her constantly and threatens her and even sends a video of their night together. He is OBVIOUSLY crazy and very dangerous. The problem is she only thinks he is dangerous to HER (and exposing her secret). Not for one second did she ever have one thought of concern for her husband! Did she even for a moment think of him possibly being in danger from this psychotic?? As soon as she realized how mental he was she should have warned her husband no matter what the consequences. Maybe there wouldn't have been a movie then but there really wasn't one anyway so what's the difference.

Deadly Encounter (2004 TV Movie)

Bad, bad and really bad! **SPOILERS**
21 August 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Warning: This may contain SPOILERS!!

First of all I watch a lot Lifetime movies and realize they are just that....Lifetime movies. Some are great (really), some are good and some are bad. Unfortunately this movie falls into the latter category. It actually started out with some potential....single, divorced hard working mom (who gets out of work at 2:00 AM) cuts a guy off while driving home from work and let's just say he doesn't take it too well. The stalking begins immediately with phone call hang ups and escalates to her home being broken into and completely trashed. So she goes to her mother's for the night and the next morning her mother's car blows up. This seems to be just a pain in the butt for our heroine who deals with it by going underwear and jewelry shopping!!! So the police put her and her son in a local motel for safe keeping and what does Mom do? She goes off to work leaving the kid all alone at night in a strange motel room and tells him to order a PIZZA!!! I couldn't believe it! Then it really gets stupid! And the ending just made me angry because it was so ridiculous and typical. Too bad because it seemed to have possibilities.

This movie is a riot!
11 March 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Not only is this movie a riot but it is a "classic!" There are very few movies I can watch over and over and this is ONE of of them! Albert Brooks is brilliant as is the ENTIRE cast. Every time I watch it I hear different comic lines and they just keep coming! After their argument (at the Hoover Damn) his wife decides to put her thumb out to get away from him and gets picked up. He finds her in a restaurant and after an altercation with the guy who picks her up, he says to her, "Next time time can you get a ride with a small, old woman?" So many classic lines and scenes I can't go on! I highly recommend! One thing I always wonder about is how their lives would have turned out if they hadn't stopped in Las Vegas!

Monk (2002–2009)

Episode: Mr. Monk Goes Home
16 July 2005
First of all let me say I love the show "Monk!" I don't know how any one else feels but I can't stand his brother Ambrose. He drove me nuts in this episode. He makes Monk look "normal". I thought it was absolutely ridiculous that Natalie accepted a "date" with him. It's not right to lead someone like that on unless she truly is attracted to him (which I seriously doubt). And when did Natalie get so "sweet?" She was certainly different in this episode than any of her previous ones. Other than that, Tony Shalhoub was great as usual and it was a good storyline.

Any thoughts anyone?? Thanks

Blind Faith (1990)
Blind Faith

Actually, I found this movie to be very good. Granted, it was long but on a snowy Saturday afternoon it was very entertaining. I say this because I think the acting was excellent. Robert Urich did a fantastic job as the self-centered father. The casting for all the characters was also very good It was intriguing how the whole story unfolded and kept me very interested. Also, I thought it was very important to show how the mother's death (and their father's possible involvement)effected the sons. It is one thing to deal with the death of your mother but to then have your father implicated in her death was done meticulously. The interaction among the three brothers was very interesting. I would definitely recommend this movie.

Absolutely ridiculous!
7 February 2003
This is quite possibly one of the WORST movies I have ever SEEN!! Everything about it was really bad! The story was ludicrous......and it got increasingly embarrassing as it went along! To make matters worse the horse races looked like they were filmed on home video. I was mad that I wasted my time on this movie......just awful. * The only thing worse than the movie was Crystal Bernard's OUTFITS!!! *

Martin and Lewis (2002 TV Movie)

Disappointing
25 November 2002
I was really looking forward to this movie as I have always liked Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. However, this movie was SO one sided it was sickening. This film shows all the good sides of Jerry Lewis and all the BAD sides of Dean Martin. I wasn't surprised to learn that Jerry Lewis was a consultant on the film and that he was quite pleased with it.....it was very biased. I will say I thought the actors did an excellent job with tough roles to play.

The Price of Heaven (1997 TV Movie)
A very sweet movie
7 November 2002
I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the acting was excellent and the storyline very compelling. I wasn't completely satisfied with the ending as I feel it could have been wrapped up a little better. It's a story about compassion, human nature and what is really important in life.

Settle the Score (1989 TV Movie)
Absolutely horrible!
31 October 2002
Don't waste your time on this boring, slow paced and dragged out movie. The story line is ridiculous and the acting even worse. I've always liked Jaclyn Smith but she is just DEADPAN in this movie. Her voice is just a flat monotone and she seems as bored as I was. The only enjoyment I got from this movie was seeing the legendary Howard Duff!!

Navigating the Heart (2000 TV Movie)

This movie is an embarassment!
11 September 2002
Okay, it is your typical "they hate each other at FIRST SIGHT" to falling madly in love in the course of a DAY! They are BOTH a couple of rude crabapples that deserve each other. I can't believe that ANY two people who had just met would be so crude and impolite....there was never even a "nice to meet you"...they just went right at it! Of course, when they have to get naked while their boat is sinking (to ostensibly keep each other warm) they become a little friendlier. It is all too much.....and very hard to buy. Don't waste your time.
