Such promise. Started great but got weird.
14 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Tatiana Maslany was superb, and Jen was by far the more interesting character vs She-hulk.

The first episodes were great, but it led to a weird ending that pretty much washed over the entire storyline rendering it pointless.

Too much emphasis on another "unlucky in love Female lead" with a focus on her relationship needs instead of her qualities as a person and character development.

In the same way Wonder Woman and Ms. Marvel doted over a love interest, it has become a sad trope for female led stories.

Find love within a story - yes, but why the sad desperation?

The final two episodes ruined this series.

Hulk has a son?!?!.. wow that must be big news?

Well, no. They mention it in 10 seconds-ish at a family bbq where the main focus is: Jen's love life of course!!

Aww Jen you sad spinster, I hope she finds love.

There is meta and then there is just ruining the flow of the story.

Instead of she-hulk busting out of the Disney plus menu and going to the writers room and seeing Kevin, why not have her appear in a linked storyline with Kang or Loki and the TVA?

The CGI was iffy at times but forgivable.

A waste of a good idea.

Another trope filled flop
1 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This trope of using cancer as the catalyst for a story line has to stop.

It's lazy and unnecessary.

This awful disease affects millions of people, but here comes Thor to make you chuckle about it?

Just no.

They could have excluded that and have the hammer cause Jane to be getting ill.

Why is it ok to have the female characters act in a lewd way over a nude Thor, but when they are threatened with the same thing, it was unacceptable for the film?

The rest of the plot was poor and typical of taika waititi movies and characters.. speaking of which how and why did he make HIS character such a big part of the film?.

I'm starting to think his character in Fall Guy wasn't that far from the truth.

I didn't particularly want to watch this.

I wish I hadn't.

Great viewing

The storyline is good, but I enjoyed the character interactions as much as the plot, which has a few twists and turns.

Great chemistry between the cast.

Steve Martin and Martin Short play their parts perfectly, with Gomez masterfully pulling off the difficult "snarky, mean loner who is actually very likeable" role.

I wanted to know about the characters from the very start.

Perfect pacing makes this an extra joy to watch.

Can't wait to jump into season 2.

Who is the target audience?
17 August 2022
This show has the lame, over the top acting of Nickelodeon shows (if you've seen the Thundermans, Henry Danger, Bunk'd, you know what I mean) mixed with adult storylines about dating and the associated sexual innuendo and references.

Stocked full of canned laughter and fake audience reactions.

It's not for kids, unless they want to hear about walks of shame, blockbusters, new kids on the block and watch a female lead choose between different men to date.

It's not for adults, because the acting is so bad and stories are unrealistic.

Who did they write this for?

It's a mish-mash of lots of bad ideas, badly executed and badly acted.

Not good

I can imagine the actors reading this script like a series of in-jokes they thought were very funny on paper.

Despite the big names, this is a poorly produced and amateurish attempt at comedy.

The script could have been written by high school drama students.

I bet the cast had fun on set with the over the top dancing scenes and what appears to be multiple improvised lines.

2 hours of sheer crud that quite poetically ends with a character hoping their audience will still appreciate the effort the actors and director made, even if the film itself is poor.

Not a fun Christmas movie

Disney's usual trope of awful events in a kids movie.

Doesn't divorced parents and an unhappy child just scream "The most wonderful time of the year"?

Could have been a light-hearted kids festive groundhog day.
