The Lion King (2019)
9/10
A film that had me smiling from the start and cry from nostalgia.
17 July 2019
Money grab or not. For my favorite Disney film to be redone with todays technology and creativity was absolutely amazing! I'm glad that the did not alter anything to the story. I love that they made the songs different to the original in a very slim way. All the events from the original had me crying from nostalgia. I literally had a smile from the first second of the film to the end of the film. So the 2019 film deserves my rating. I am not a huge fan for remakes or live action films, but the way they took the approach for the Lion King was well put! Its a shame with all the bad reviews because of people not accepting the idea of redones for the new generations. I loved it. It didn't ruin the Lion King for me. End of story. Hakuna Matata.

Animation was on point!
1 July 2019
First off, I just wanted to say how I loved the animation style! The opening scene was already incredible and it really got me to loving the artform of the film instantly. The story telling of Mirai was lovely and really brought the sibling aspect and life lessons. It was emotional to see a stubborn big brother and a lovely little sister bonding in both real time and future times.

Slapstick Comedy is where its at for me!
1 July 2019
I love this sort of slapstick comedy! Wish it was put into more seasons and episodes! A geeky comedy series was what I needed to witness and it has to be one of my best comedy series till this day! Beware if you intend on watching this on the train or in public.. be aware that your smile or laughter will come out unexpectedly and people around you will have weird ideas. But thats good! The actors really played a great job and Moss was incredibly derpy and geeky!

LOVED IT!
1 July 2019
Its a shame that there was no further seasons! I really loved this tv series and how the story of each individual was allowed to be placed into another persons life. I loved the linkage of each characteristics from the members and they have their unique quality to solve situations. I understand the expenses and budget was incredibly insane to film and produce this due to the travelling and film but I wish they would further this series or a similar approach to this in the near future! LOVED IT!

It was very emotional to watch!
1 July 2019
This biography series was hands down a great series to watch! It was very emotional for me to see what the boys had to go through and how made the choices of adapting to their new life because of the manipulation and the scenarios in which they were put into and set up for from the force.

Chernobyl (2019)

It was intense and incredible!

Warning: Spoilers
After hearing all the hype when this mini tv series came out I finally got a chance to watch it. Its been years since I last learnt about this incident back in high school and it brought back so many memories and research when I was undergoing HS. the film depicted the crisis in an amazing cinematography, story-telling and the actors were all so amazing with their roles. Every episode had me on the edge on what is yet to come and what was happening during the accident. It also made me think on ways how they would overcome the situation and ways to solve it! It really got me thinking!! I know most of the mini tv-series was dramatized towards more of the politics perspective and all the lies that they had to pursue, but I was expecting more of the cities reaction or perspective. But I also enjoyed the perspective from the control room, the firefighters and the scientist! It really made me feel the status of 'hero' to those who tried to solve and overcome anything bad from Chernobyl. Although, something that really got my thinking and wondering was how would this mini tv-series be with full Russian dialogue. Would it make the series more realistic? I bring this up when the first few episode provided those Russian recordings about the accident. It felt more real to hear this and really got my thinking what if... Overall, the mini tv-series was incredible and had me on the edge of my bed from watching!

Terrace House (2015–2016)
8/10
The one reality show I really enjoyed and cried and smiled for!
28 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I have never stuck to a foreign reality tv show before but this one really stuck out from the Netflix series! I first started off with Aloha State / Boys & Girls in the City / Opening New Doors & leaving Boys x Girls Next Door (which was before the netflix series). All had its pros and some had cons but I feel the way I watched the series in this order was reflective on which series was best. Of course leaving the best for last! I really enjoyed Boys x Girls Next Door due to the character development of many of the members living the Terrace House. Everyone had a goal. Everyone worked hard. Everyone was able to achieve or witness flaws within themselves to better or move into a new direction in life. I loved it! I started to gain a dedication and interest into some characters due to their developments and goals such as Tetsuya (Tecchan) - the dude literally stayed the entire 2 years and went through hardship in his career and also his love life. His reflection of personality really reflected me and I could relate highly to him. Dyki (Kykikun) - his goals and motivation to himself and everyone in the house was something I was fond of. I first shed tears for this series when he won the championship title. I'm glad he stayed at the house for quite a long time because he brought a lot of insight with his views and perspective of overcoming issues, troubles and how to progress in life. The dude literally had to give up what he love because of an injury and felt lost after. but he picked himself up and tried his best to better his life from then on and tried many things! I love that! Lastly, Seina (Seina-san). Who the heck doesn't love her? Since I left BGND last, her appearances in the other later series were very vague on who she was. But man, after following her story and her development I love her even more now! She sure is a gem and I can she why people loved her! Overall, all series were great, some werent the best but they are all worth watching!

This film was incredibly well shot and thought out! It had basically everything to have in a drama thriller film. Its my first Joon-ho Bong film and my god it was perfect! I love drama, I love thriller and crime. It hit the perfect spot for my liking and the story was perfect and emotional throughout! The awards given to this film were well deserved and after watching the film I can see why. I think I have became a fan of Mr. Bong's films and im off to watch his other hits!

The Classic (2003)

Loved this film! - 'It may not happen in this life. But what if...'
9 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This film sure put me on the edge of my seat. The build up of the typical 'Love Triangle' was a good touch to the story and I must say the reveal at the end really got me. I mean I should have known from the start... But I guess, it had never occurred to me. I really enjoyed it and loved the actors that were involved with this film. They all did a fantastic job. A very touchy and emotional part when the tragic scene at the school and the hospital was really an eye opener for me and had a completely dark view towards the film for a second. It was a good touch and change up to the situation of the film. Made the events more realistic!!! The relationship between the best friends was touching and could feel how much they respected each other to assist each other through their situations. Loved the film. Would recommend.

The characters really did it for me! Loved it
9 April 2019
I was ashamed how the ending played out. Or I just felt that something was missing through the ending of the film. Nevertheless... I really loved the characters of this film. I really enjoyed Aoi Miyazaki's character of Shizuru Satonaka and loved her childish, innocent-like perspective in a teenager. You don't see much of this personality in young dramas. It really made me reflect back in my teenage years. I guess my thing is, I just wanted to see more of 'Shizuru Satonaka' haha she brought humor, sadness and happiness altogether! Loved her character. Overall, the film has made it to my top dramas to watch. Loved it.

Oh My Ghost (2015)
10/10
It had everything I love in a series. Romance, Supernatural, Crime, Comedy.
4 April 2019
At first I thought this drama was okay for the first few episodes. As things got very intense I started to like it. Bo-Young Park really played an amazing job showing two different personalities in a professional and seamless change of a person being possessed. Her acting was definitely on point. The entire series really provided everything I like to see in a drama; Romance, Comedy, Supernatural (which was not too scary) and Crime. The story of everything really matched up and made me want to watch til everything was solved and investigations were lingering. Good series to watch and would recommend to see all the actors hard work and dedication for the outcome of this series.

Literally cried 1 Litre of Tears from watching this...
4 April 2019
I remember when I first watched this at the age of 15, it was my very first Japanese drama and first drama to watch. I'm glad I had started this as my first drama to watch as it was absolutely incredible. It provide emotional connection between the every character and literally every episode had me in tears at a young age. The character development and emotional connection between everyone to the main character and how she effected those around her really showed a personal insight to real life situations. LOVED IT!

Loved it!
21 March 2019
After hearing about the film being aired at my local cinema I wanted to watch it then I heard it was adapted to the Manga. I held off from watching it and read the entire manga series first. I loved the manga and had incredible expectations! The animation it self was absolutely as expected and it got me in tears between family, friendship and relationships. Its message of bullying, karma and isolation really had a reflection in life which made me really love this film. One thing I remember when I stepped out of the cinema with teary eyes was that there were small adaptations to the film which left some character development for other characters and which had some funny panels from the manga I was expecting in the film which never showed because it would of never made sense. Although the approach to shorten the story from the manga really fit and didn't have any plot holes knowing that they cut out a few things and conflict between characters (but these were still shown).

After reading and watching this. It has been hands down my number 1 and will probably always be my number 1 film/animation.
