Artemis Fowl (2020)

Despicable

This is without a doubt one of the worst adaptation of a good novel series I had to watch. All the $125 million budget down the drain! I had the least expectation for this movie but it actually came out short! The badly chosen kid actors and wasted talented superstars. Who ever made the film screenplay should be sued for the stupendous adaptation of the book! Also, I was appalled by the bad direction! An exceptionally FOUL adaptation! Don't waste your time on this movie. You can't even feel the brilliance of the titular character. Horrendous!

The most eerie movie of all time - period!
19 October 2019
What made this movie so exceptional was the normality of a family life at the beginning and then out of the blue strange things happen that would literally make you curse and make your nape hair stand on end.

This movie wasn't even trying to surprise you with loud scary sounds. It just literally freaking scares you because it was so naturally well made!

I have watched this movie 5 times since the 1980s and I still can't watch this movie alone.

It really creeps you out to the core.

One of the most realistically portrayed espionage movie!
10 October 2019
My title says it all.

First of all, I watched this movie twice because it can be confusing.

Second, I have never seen a more realistically portrayed espionage movie this year than this movie.

It really gave you the sense of urgency of the story as well as a depiction of how literally anyone who looks so normal can be a weapon of mass destruction. And this movie has successfully shown it. With the recent advent of mass shootings in the US, and it seemed despite the advances of USA's intelligence agency and security this movie can easily show how difficult it is to maintain safety of the public.

No. This movie will not give you the fake drama of the dangers that the military faces everyday because this movie will literally show you an "in your face" account of how ordinary an end of the world situation can simply occur.

No music, no warning and then boom your dead! That's the reality.

It can be confusing at first watched because that's how espionage works. The safety of the public can be tangled in the confusing prelude of politics before anyone realizes how the hell did those lapses in security occured. And it was realistically portrayed here.

And finally, one will realize that these things can happen simply because of one person's personal vendetta.

And history has shown us that time and time again.

So, to the critics, eat shit for making me nearly miss this GEM OF A MOVIE because of drama-driven and Hollywood biased criticisms.

Lastly, to the viewers, watch it twice if you got confused the first time. The second time's a charm.

Carefully read Silva's description and you will understand why he is like that.

Amazing twist and one hell of a movie!

I had this short film on rewind from youtube!

First of all, amazing cast on the main actor!

Those eyes and minute facial/body movements are amazing! He was able to reflect and show the realistic depiction of an awkward, ambivalent, shy love at first sight emotions!

I don't understand a damn word of what they were saying but wow! This short fil got me so romantically excited.

Well portrayed innocence of love at first sight!

Bravo!

P.S. More like this please :)

On Point
11 July 2019
What can I say, this one out of the three movies that made me smile and chuckle. And I haven't done that for 2 years (I haven't laughed for 2 years either). Believe it. Specially, coming from a person who is chronically depressed and whose past time is reading about how to end his life in the least painful way for the last 2 years.

The comic dialogue and timing in this one are unexpected and on point.

Hellboy (2019)

DON'T BELIEVE ALL THE BAD CRITIC
8 July 2019
If I would compare it to the first two Hellboy movies this is by far the second best and The Golden Army will be the first. The first Hellboy 2004 would be the worst. The first one was too much drama and totally anti-climactic for an obviously R-RATED DARK HORROR COMEDY source. It's Hellboy for crying out loud. The supposedly SON OF SATAN. Of course, it is R-Rated and grotesque! Keep that in mind in watching the movie. And this 2019 version actually delivered it. Sure there were some corny scenes like some Marvel movies but this movie delivered what was lacking in the first two movies by Del Toro which is the Gore! There were some errors in transformation but acceptable unless you want it to become an X-rated movie. If you want a moderately satisfying action-packed and gory Hellboy movie this can actually deliver! But if you want an explorative somewhat magical version then go for The Golden Army.

Simple Romance but the message was heavy!
27 March 2019
I never thought I was going to like this Kdrama. But I actually did. I have watched a lot of other Kdramas but this one really made me felt young again and at the same time, so angry with the antagonist. It is actually well written but I think it was too short since a lot of plot areas can be explored.

The romance made my heart tingle. And the way the antagonist manipulates people is just amazing.

I felt so sad that the number of episodes where too short.

I hope this gets a Season 2.

Damn, this series made me feel like a teenager.
