Road House (2024)

Not a remake

There are no similarities to the original movie other than the name of the movie and there's a bar in it. Of course we will compare it to the original and it fell waaaay short!! A different story with bad guys and a "hero". McGregor is the best part because he has the best lines in the whole movie. Very disappointed as I was hoping it would mirror the original at least some. As a stand alone move it was at the very best ok. I like Jake but everyone was badly cast for the movie! Not very believable characters and just dull and flat! They may have set it up for a sequel but I sure hope not!!!!!!

Happily (2021)

Dark Rom Com?

Definitely not a Romantic Comedy. There were no funny moments. This could have been a decent story line but whoever is responsible sure didn't do a good job. It was sloooow and not very interesting. I'm not even sure why these couples all got together for the weekend. They don't seem to like each other And don't get along. The entire show could have been shown in 45 minutes. The music was dull. The acting was dull. The twists and turns weren't interesting and made no sense. I'm pretty sure it was written by a bunch of elementary students. There was absolutely no point to the movie and nothing made sense. No explanation of anything. And the ending was awful!!

Devious Maids (2013–2016)

Unexpected!

I don't watch day time soaps. I started watching Devious Maids and realized it was exactly like a Soap, and I loved it!!!!!!!!! The characters were fun. The story lines were fun and you can never get bored with a story line because it moves fast. I'm actually surprised how much I enjoyed this show and how greatly disappointed I was when it ended!!! I would have loved more episodes and at the very least to wrap up a few story lines! You definitely can't take it too seriously. It's a fun and entertaining series. Now I need to find something else to watch that's light and entertaining! Sorry it was cancelled!!

House of Cards (2013–2018)

8 for the first 5 seasons

1 for the sixth season!! What the heck.... Season 6 felt like an entirely new show with all new actors. Oh and it's an awful new show!! I only watched it too close out the series. The last season made NO SENSE and I feel bad for the actors it may have taken down with it!

The first five seasons were great! Highly recommend the first 5 seasons. It's captivating and brilliant! Love Kevin Spacey!! Sometimes a little maddening but that was part of the show. It was at least believable. The last season seemed slapped together and someone thought "hey, let's just kill everyone". Good grief! Every time Mrs Hale talked to the camera I wanted to punch her in the face.

Veep (2012–2019)

Funny but Crude

First, I love Julia Louise-Dreyfus and pretty much anything I've seen her in!!! The other characters were also cast great!!! This show is hilarious and full of quick-witt!!! I found it very funny but others may not as it's quite crude and maybe offensive to some. They take jabs at everyone and that's what makes it funny. The story line for the first 5 seasons is excellent but I will admit the last two seasons were a bit scattered and messy. Some of it was quite unbelievable but, it's entertainment. I watched it to the end and really liked how they wrapped it all up in the end. Hoping to see Julia in more soon.

Coming Out Colton (2021)

I'm glad he did this show. Doing this show and just the coming out part would have been so hard!! I don't think he's the first guy who has not wanted to be gay and tried to "change". I don't think he was wasting the girls times on The Bachelor. He was trying to find love, not be gay, and live a happy life. As much as we like to think the world has changed it must be hard for people to do it especially in a testosterone-filled football locker room.

Some of the acting was stiff but these aren't actors.

Kudos to Colton for doing this and hopefully it's what he needed, and will help others to do the same!

That '90s Show (2023– )

Meh!!

The best part of That90's Show are the characters from That 70's Show. I wanted to love it but I really just couldn't. I powered through just to finish it. Loved loved loved seeing Kitty and Red!!!!!! Boy I missed her!! But the rest of the show is definitely a Disney Saturday afternoon special. Not nearly as entertaining as That 70's Show and the acting was not even close to the same level. I doubt I will watch a second season if there is one! Bring back a reboot of all the old characters and I'm there!!!! But this one was at a way younger age level!! My son loved That 70's Show but I won't be recommending this one to him!

Inside Man (II) (2022)

Waste of 4 hours of my life.

The only good things about it this series is the house, fabulous doors and furniture, and Stanly Tucci. The banter between him and Dillion is great and I've always loved Tucci!!

The rest of this show is ridiculous!! Something that would never happen is followed by something else that would never happen!! It's a big snowball of garbage!!

I kept watching until the end to see if it would get better. To see if there was some twist or imaginative ending that made the show worth while, but it never happened.

This series was recommended by a coworker and I sure won't take that persons recommendations again!!! What a waste of 4 hours of my life!!

Replace the Lead

Love James Lesure! Make him the lead. Also like Felix Solis. Keep them and clear the rest out.

Niece Nash is an embarrassment to FBI agents and any other professional woman. Yes you can be smart regardless of what you're wearing and yes you can wear whatever you want but come on..... I'm pretty sure that's frowned on in most offices! I'm not sure what's worse, the extreme cleavage or the latex pants... Plus, she can't really act "seriously" so maybe that's her tactic to distract us from that!!

I LOVE The Rookie!! The actors and stories. This could be successful as well with different actors!! Please change it before it's cancelled or transfer over the two good actors to The Rookie.

Uncoupled (2022–2023)

It's Entertainment!

As a single, straight woman I can say the Sex and the City was not entirely realistic.... Just like Uncoupled. But that's OK!!!!! It's entertainment! It's fun!! It's quite enjoyable!! If I wanted realistic I'd watch a documentary. Also, if it followed the real lives of people it may get boring :). Neal Patrick Harris is awesome in this role!! The stories are sometimes outrageous but funny!!! That's all part of the charm!! I have watched it twice and I may watch it again. I hope there are many more seasons. With everything going on in the world I want funny and relaxing and Uncoupled is it!! Enjoy, it's just entertainment!!!

Kill the laugh track !!

Nate Bargatze was funny but after twenty minutes I just could not do it any more and had to turn it off. The laugh track was way too annoying!! That's all I could hear and I cringed every time. If the jokes are funny then the people in the audience will laugh. Stop faking it because we can tell and as I mentioned after twenty minutes I had to stop watching. Which is really too bad because some of his jokes were really quite funny. Also not sure why my review has to be six hundred characters, I have absolutely nothing else to say on my review about this Netflix comedy special. Good grief!!!!!!!

In Bruges (2008)

The acting was good. The story line was good. Lots of funny parts. My only complaint is that it was very slooooow!! This story line could have been told in 1/2 hour. I have no idea why this movie received such high ratings. I walked away to another room a few times and felt like I didn't miss anything. The ending was ridiculous. How can I get this 107 minutes back?

I enjoyed this movie even tho it was a bit predictable. Very good story, the music was great BUT her singing was annoying! I could only understand 1/2 the words. Stop trying to be so breathy. Just sing.

I watched it again for a second time and noticed a huge "character flaw". Maddie needs to get off her high horse! She's putting Bill down and "writing him off" because he was with someone else before her and that lady had a baby he didn't know anything about?? What?? He did nothing wrong. Now she's mad at Cal because he didn't tell her he had a fight with his ex's new man years ago??! So he's supposed to tell her about every fight or event that happened in all the years before he met her? She's a closed minded narcissist who needs to be knocked off her high horse!!!

Greenleaf (2016–2020)

I tried to watch it and I tried to like it but it's way too slow and trying too hard. Boring!!!! Too many stereotypes and trying to cram too much drama into the first 20 minutes. Sorry, I just can't watch any more.

The Staircase (2004–2018)

This story could have been told in 8 episodes. Drug out way too long and I was so tired of listening to Michael talk. I can't believe anyone would think a fall down a few stairs would cause that much trauma to someone. And to 2 people he knew. Good grief! He's so guilty!! If nothing else he should do more time for being so annoying and showing very little emotion and being so aloof about his wife's death. What a waste of time this show was. Just google the story and avoid it dragging on!!!

Ozark (2017–2022)

Good show. Some characters weren't believable, like the daughter. Overall a good show but the ending was soft, lacked imagination, uninteresting, and boring. There was so much more they could have done. The last season was a mish mash of boring events that amounted to nothing.

Sophie needs a reality check

I used to give this show at least an 8 or 9 but the last few episodes are going downhill. I get that Sophie is an "adult" now but why is everyone bowing down to her. It's NONE of her business if Garry and Maggie are back together (even if I don't like that story line either...) she was rude to eddy, she kicked him out if the house and he comes crawling back with an amazing gift. She can go on tour and not come back. This is just teaching bratty teenagers they can be awful and spoilt brats and it's ok. It's showing teenagers that it's acting grown up but it's not!!! She's awful!!!!!!

I love Greys Anatomy but there is hardly any patients any more and most scenes are outside of the hospital. Let's get back to medicine, doctors etc. It's getting ridiculous!!

And I'm so over Amelia! And Teddy and Owen. They can't make up their minds or commit to anything. If they all left the show I wouldn't miss them!!

True Dating Stories (2015– )

I enjoy these stories. Funny and definitely cringeworthy! But when reenacting them I wish it was more "real" and not so overdramatized. Take out the fake sillyness! Otherwise these all make me glad I'm not dating any more 😊

I'm sure I watched this when it first came out. Since then it's been built up as this fabulous classic timeless movie. So today I watched it again and it was ok but not GREAT. Kinda slow and blah. When they finally get together it's no big deal and expected. It's an ok movie but not sure why people are still Raving about it.

First of all, if Kim Cattrall didn't want to be in the series going forward than so be it. She certainly does not make the show. I would have loved to see her but since she decided not to join the cast then so be it. I won't miss her!! Whatever.

I can't believe they killed off Big. I am so sad!!!!! However it certainly takes the show in a new direction and I applaud the writers! (I actually thought they'd kill off Samantha first...) I have only watched the first episode but excited to watch the rest!!!! I hope they never quit producing this show!!

Rewatching series

I love Greys. I am rewatching it from the start, again. The first handful of seasons are the BEST!! I was thinking on the Current season (18) that I'm happy to see Addison return. I was kind of hoping others would as well and thought I missed Izzy. After watching these last few episodes I realize I do NOT miss Izzy. She was such a narcissistic, self absorbed character that fell in love with anyone who gave her attention and didn't care who she hurt. I REALLY wish George hadn't have died so they could bring him back but out of everyone, I sure don't want to see Izzy again!! She was a hot, scattered mess!!!!!
