They still act stupid sometimes
13 July 2023
You'd expect New York to be really really dangerous. Well, it is, but maybe because the characters are stupid and not because of the zombies. It's been over 15 years since the outbreak and a character just stands in front of a glass door that's clearly giving in and simply dies when the walkers come in? Come on... even on the first TWD season people wouldn't die in such ridiculous ways. Couldn't they figure out a better way to kill characters off? The writing feels somewhat poor in that matter and also on some dialogs. I noticed mostly on the first episode, where there wasn't that much action, the conversations between Maggie and Negan felt very off.

Not all is bad, until now, every episode was better then the one before. The action scenes are cool, there's enough suspense, the cinematography is really good and the characters are interesting, I don't even notice the 40 minutes passing by. If you ignore the annoying stupid writing decisions I mentioned before, it's a really fun show to watch, i'd give it an 8 or 9 out of 10 if it wasn't for them.

If you're a TWD universe fan, you should definitely watch it. Even if you didn't finish The Walking Dead, if you know Negan that's enough.

The Last of Us: Please Hold to My Hand (2023)
Season 1, Episode 4

Nailed it
6 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This was a very solid episode. From a game fan perspective, I loved it. We got our iconic scenes from the game (like the one with the magazine in the car). Finally Ellie brought out her pun book and I think this is really important to show how their relationship is evolving: she is now confortable enough to tell him stupid jokes. Doesn't seem like much but they haven't been together for that long and Joel's trust is hard to get.

We got to see much more of the hunters. This is what I love and expected from the show: to see more. In the game they are just the bad guys you have to kill, you never got to know what were they like as a group, how did they come to be. The show humanizes them, Joel even says he's been on both sides, they're both survivors, it's not black and white, it's grey. That guy screaming for his mom... that part was brutal and I think it's something that the first game missed a bit, to humanize your enemies. This TV show is just making a great game and story even greater.

Nice cliffhangers in the final minutes, can't wait for the next episode.

Kinda disappointed
3 February 2023
After reading some reviews and hearing my friends talk about it, I thought it was gonna be one of the best TV shows I've ever seen. Don't get me wrong, it is good, but not that good.

First season was great, good development of characters and story, really caught my attention. When you thought you took one step forward to knowing what was happening, the show pushed you (not two) three steps back.

I feel like I lost that "need" to binge it when I got to season two (I watched Dark when the show was already concluded). It just didn't feel that compelling anymore.

Season 3: unnecessarily confusing The beginning of season three sent me 20 steps back. Then I feel like they throwed a lot of answers at the watcher. At that point I didn't even feel blown away anymore. And because they gave so many answers in the beginning of the season, you knew there was something more to fill 5/6 more episodes. Surprise, surprise, after that, they just made the story super confusing to prove a point that had already been proven. By episode 7 you finally understand what's really happening and in episode 8 you get a conclusion. The last episode was really good and saved the season, in my opinion.

Season 1: 9/10 Season 2: 7,5/10 Season 3: 6/10 As a whole: 7/10

Would I recomment it? Not really, but to each their own.
