Definitely a winner!!

Well, wow.

I just loved this Anime to death!

To start with, the characters are absolutely lovable. Although some may argue that a few of the characters are a bit cliché, there are some that definitely make up for that. For instance, the main character Niwa Daisuke is just a generally good-natured guy. The relationships are also wonderfully played out! You absolutely will fall in love with the characters.

Also, the overall quality of an Anime is very important to me. Especially plot. Because this Anime was made /after/ the Manga had finished, it has a well-rounded feeling and ends VERY well (the climax happens well, and it ends sweetly). The plot is played out very well and I loved it!!

So far this has been my favorite Anime =D Yay!

Fruits Basket (2001)

Excellent--until the end T__T

I would have to say, when I first started this series I thought it was the best one I've seen to date. It was funny, cute, and energetic. Plus the characters were so fun to get to know!

If we reject the last few episodes (the supposed "end"), then it would definitely earn a 9.5. (It's sooo cute ^__^) However, we can't forget the end and that's a crucial part in, well, everything. Unfortunately, it wasn't delivered well and I came out of this almost-wonderful series quite disappointed. Of course, one could argue that the manga hadn't ended so the Anime couldn't end.

But that silly false-climax? Where all the character interactions before made me really want to know who she ended up with... and it ends so... not ended O_o

So I warn you, if you have yet to watch it, be warned that it doesn't really end. Yeah.

If only they could make a second season...
