A Quiet Place (2018)
Nitpickers have no imagination
People complaining have no imagination.
Why do we have to know where the aliens came from, and why they came? It's not about the alien invasion, it's about a family trying to survive it.
I found it interesting to just be thrown in to the middle of it, not knowing, leaving each viewer to fill in the gaps of what happened with their own thoughts.
It's not important to the movie.
This is also true about the ending. One user said that the ending builds up to a sequel... no, it does not. It again leaves the imagination to the viewer. They now have a fighting chance and know it's weakness.
While stunned and weakened, or while listening carefully - the aliens expose their only vulnerability. Since it's otherwise armored and supposedly very resistant to bullets, this would explain how it managed to overpower the military.
We do not know how many of these things there are.
Another user complained about there being no dialogue in the movie. For me it's a unique and interesting concept. It's called "A Quiet Place" and the premise is basically "make no sound"... I mean, is it really something to complain about if you decide to watch the movie anyway?
"Why don't they live by the water?". Well, did you see any houses by the waterfall?
Remember, they already had a house on a farm when all of this happened. They fear for their lives every day, they cannot make any sound.
How exactly are they supposed to build a home by the lake if they cannot make a sound? Of course it would've been the best place to live, were it possible, but it seems like an unreasonable thing to complain about.
To say something short about the movie quality myself: I found it to be a very suspenseful and the use... well, the non-use of dialogue proved effective in this unique horror/thriller. The kids are doing a very good job. Krasinski and Blunt make a convincing couple (for obvious reasons) and their acting is great!
I would like to see more from Krasinski, and you should watch this movie.
The O.C.: The Graduates (2006)
I probably wont watch the fourth season of this great series
You know, even though I did the mistake of reading about Marissas death, I was still very surprised that it went like it did. Everyone seemed so happy 30 minutes in, then like 40 minutes in, the happiness turned into fear and caused a very dramatic moment. I can't believe that Mischa Barton wont be in the cast-list next season. The whole show is about the 4 teenagers the most, if one leave, it's worse than ever. It was supposed to be Seth and Summer, Ryan and Marissa! In the last 10 minutes of the episode, Ryan takes Marissa to the airport, because she was supposed to live with her father for a year. But along on the empty road comes Vultchek, Marissas ex boyfriend. He is angry because Marissa didn't listen to him, so he rammed their car off the road, down the hill. Ryan gets out of the car which was up-side-down, he drags out the severely injured Marissa. Her head had taken a hit on the right side. It was only minutes until she died, in Ryan's arms
