The best comedy about lawyers ever!
5 April 2003
Absolutely wild comedy about lawyers and why we love to hate them. All tongue in cheek and great fun. Good acting, great photography, well-written, just a fun, entertaining comedy, when you just want to laugh at all the bad lawyers. Lawyers with guns, oh my! I'm shocked, shocked to see that.

one of the best films ever made

This is a wonderful, deeply moving film with an astonishing early performance from Joe Mantegna as a mentally challenged individual who proves himself to his doubtful uncle. Great music, superb cinematography, wonderfully written, an outstanding display of filmmaking.

one of the best films ever about lawyers

A hilarious roller coaster ride all at the expense of those nasty lawyers. Great acting, casting, art direction, a fabulous soundtrack, you never know which way this movie is going to go but it always goes wild and funny. There are lots of movie references visually and stylistically. For example, the bad lawyer Moriarity uses a push button to send his enemies to the dungeon, this is exactly like the device used in Austin Powers except that this movie was made two years before Austin Powers! This is lots of fun and wacky. Crisp, rich photography, doesn't look low budget at all, very polished and professional looking. I loved this movie!

I watch this movie every year with my girlfriends
1 February 2001
This is a teen film with a lot truth and compassion, very much a true to life portrayal of teen age emotions, this movie feels honest and heart-felt. It's also very funny and wise, never condescending like so many others. Also well-acted by a believable group who actually look like friends and lovers. As a teen-age girl myself, I really identified with all the girl characters but especially Terry, who seems like someone I would be best friends with. I also liked the way the boy characters were realistic and vulnerable, again not like so many other films. I saw this at a slumber party when I was twelve but my friends and I watch it again every year when we get together. You just have to see this movie! I love it.
