The High and the Mighty (1954)
The High and the Mighty
My husband is 80 and I am 76. We saw this movie at a theater when it first came out. Then never saw it again. Always remembered the music and were hoping we would see it again. Got on the website and learned that Patrick Wane had the rights to the movie and were encouraged to get in touch with him to release it. Well, FINALLY tonight we were able to see it on AMC. Had forgotten most of the movie, except for the very end. I sat with him and held his hand for the last scene and we both teared up! However, now I can understand why Patrick Wane held this back... it was truly the first "Airplane" movie, and I think he was robbed of the premise. Thank you Patrick for releasing it and letting some of us older folks see the BEST "Airplane" movie ever made. Thankfully, Lillian Filmer
One Potato, Two Potato (1964)
Great movie and wish it were offered on TV
I am 74 yrs old and remember seeing this at around 40 with some friends..left the theater sobbing and will always remember it. Too bad we can't see these movies on TV - very thought-provoking. Has anyone else seen and remembered this movie, or am I the only one alive who remembers it?
Guys and Dolls (1955)
Good film
My husband and I were lucky enough to see the original Broadway show. We were mesmerized, and when the film came out, we felt it didn't come up to par with the show, but as the years go on are grateful that this was put on film. Enjoy it now for the memories it invokes...and love to see Marlon Brando as a young man.
