Is Harry on the Boat? (2001)
Harry is well and truly this boat's skipper
Sky One again takes residence in the clubbers capital of Ibiza. The teenage stars of the 21st Century take centre stage in this tv movie focusing on the adventures of a group of reps in Ibiza. This show has comedy, romance, drama, and sexual scenes all round, and all in abundance. A little of the acting may seem a little hammy, and a bit of the story may seem forced upon, but all that is overlooked if you appreciate the sheer vulgar comedy and sex scenes which will have you wanting to see more. Is Harry on the Boat? I would have to say he is totally on the ball.
The Mummy Returns (2001)
Back with a vengeance
A film that will blow your mind away, "The Mummy Returns" is an action packed film worth more than the price of the movie ticket. Brendan Frasier returns reluctant hero Rick O'Connell, now married to Rachel Weisz' character Evelyn. Set nine years after defeating Ihmotep, the O'Connells, along with there 8 year old son Alex (played superbly by Freddie Boath), and brother Jonathan (the comical John Hannah), are once again called upon to save the world. Ihmotep is resurrected this time around by the reincarnated form of his lost love, Anck-su-namun. But now the major threat comes in the form of WWF superstar The Rock, as the ancient evil Scorpion King. But to basics; The greater budget can be seen in legions of eight foot Anubis warriors charging across the desert. The action is a non-stop thrill ride. The humour is clever. And the drama is choreographed well, balancing this film to a point where you will never be bored. You will sit watching this film not wanting it to end, and to steal a phrase from a a vid sleeve, you will laugh, you will cry, and if you want to hurl, you will have to hold it, as this is a film you would not want to miss a second of.
