Out of Death (2021)

Hilariously bad

I will admit that I watched this because Bruce Willis was in it. He generally plays the same character in everything he is in but I like that character so I watched.

Bruce is in this for about five total minutes and he talks and looks like he is either drunk or took a couple of Ambien before the cameras rolled.

I give this two stars instead of one because it made me laugh. The acting is SO bad all around the terrible script that I laughed out loud several times. The soundtrack is funny also.

Don't waste your time if you're looking for an action movie but if you like watching funny, bad student films, check it out.

Doctor Sleep (2019)

I liked this more than I thought I would

I was prepared to hate this movie. I'm a huge fan of both novels and a huge Stephen King fan. I'm accustomed to seeing horrible SK movie adaptations but I always watch them with high hopes. I was surprised by this. It held pretty tight to the novel while still respecting Kubrick's vision of The Shining. I'm guessing that was a difficult tightrope to walk for the screenwriter. I think he pulled it off pretty well and I think the acting and effects were excellent.

The Dead Don't Die (2019)

Worth six bucks on Amazon. I appreciate Jim Jarmusch

If you didn't like this movie then maybe you just didn't understand it or were looking for something different. I don't mean to be a jerk about it or pretend that I'm smarter than you but I laughed out loud at this flick and watched until the end. So many subtle references that made me laugh. Jim Jarmusch wanted to make fun of us for watching bad zombie movies so he made one - Bill Murray, Tom Waits, et al showed up - how can that be bad? I dug it.

Madness in the Method (2019)

I was going to buy this movie no matter the reviews as I am a fan of Mewes and think he is under appreciated. So much more fun when the plot of the movie is that he is under appreciated. This movie is not an Oscar candidate but it was really fun to watch. I dug it. I laughed.
