Little House on the Prairie: The Lord Is My Shepherd: Part 2 (1974)
#1 Episode of Little House for many, I can see why.
I liked part 1 and give it about an 8 but part 2 gets a solid 10 from me. I won't go into what this episode is about, as many reviewers already have, but I will say that although this series had a reputation for making many viewers cry, me included, The Lord is my Shepherd part 2 made me cry the most, and if a show can do that to me, it has me for life. What really impressed me was Melissa Gilbert's acting in this one, and Ernest Borgnine as the Angel Jonathan was a great choice for the story. I often wondered if his character had some influence on Michael Landons creation of the Angel Jonathan Smith in Highway to Heaven. And one more thing. I can see some viewers didn't like this episode that much. They should get checked out by a doctor to see if they have a heart.
The Blacklist: Nachalo (2021)
I'm getting it so far!
I had to pay close attention on this episode so that I didn't get confused. I understand what they're trying to say, but what was the resolve? Maybe it's just me but I didn't see any. SPOILER AHEAD......... Elizabeth did get the answers she's always been searching for, but it seems to me she still coming out of it confused. A couple of other things did happen that we've been waiting the whole season to see I won't spoil that for everyone. But, and I hope I am not spoiling this, but is it going to turn out that Raymond Reddington has really been Katarina-Restovia all along?
The Blacklist (2013)
One word. AMAZING!
Wow.... And that goes for the whole series. James Spader once again proves he can do anything. I don't know if Reddington is a hero or a villain. Maybe a little of both, but he sure keeps your eyes glued to the show. I would've given 10 stars as most of the supporting cast is pretty good too, but Megan Boone is all wrong for this show. She can not act, and because of this, I can't take her seriously. And one more thing. Please bring back Susan Blommarrt (Mr. Kaplan) She is a great asset to this show.
Firefly Lane (2021)
Read the book? May not like the series.
I've read the book, and loved it, plus read Fly Away (Firefly Lane 2) and happy with it, but the Netflix series, I was disappointed. The way they kept changing between time periods, which wasn't in the book, was annoying to me. The book started and proceeded in chronological order, and easier for me to follow. And I felt that they missed important storyline from the book. On the cliffhanger, I know what happens next, so I won't be watching season 2. I gave 3 stars because Katherine Heigl did a great job.
Highway to Heaven: Keep Smiling (1986)
Very touching
Arthur Thompson died of cancer years ago. He was a very good man, so God sends him back to earth with a new face and new name, Jonathan Smith, as an Angel to help God do what God does best. Bring love into the world, and help people. On this assignment, he gets to revisit Jane Thompson, his earthly wife, who has no idea that Jonathan is really her Arthur. Jane is a lonely woman who just lost her best friend, and has a daughter living thousands of miles away,, that can't keep her promises that she will go visit Jane soon. While Jonothan rekindles his feelings for her, without telling her who he really is, Mark and Jonothan try to persuade Jane's daughter to keep her promises.
Highway to Heaven: We Have Forever: Part 1 (1988)
This is my favorite Highway to heaven episode of them all
There are SPOILERS-------SPOILERS----------SPOILERS In this review.
Jonothon's earth wife Jane (Dorothy Mcguire) dies in his arms and he thinks that he is going back to heaven to be with her, only to have his expectations ripped from him by god, who tells him he is staying on earth because he has an assignment. Driven by anger at god's disappointing news, Jonathon rebels against god and loses his powers. He ends up in Jail trying to destroy a theater marquee titled---Heaven Can Wait--- and gets bailed out by Mark, He then gets drunk with Mark and decides to leave him and go on his own.
Walking along the beach, Jonathon spots a woman (Leann Hunley) who tries to kill herself and he ends up saving her life. He becomes close with this woman---Jennifer---and she helps him find his way back to god. When her mission is complete, she helps to reunite Jonathon and Mark where Mark----------(SPOILER-------- hands him a goodbye letter from Jennifer-------------------------(SPOILER)----------------who it turns out is really an angel. Who it turns out is really------Oh you will just have to watch it to see.
This episode is so worth watching. It really is one of the best episodes of any TV show I have ever seen. It also leaves the story open for a Highway To Heaven spin off.
Back to the Future Part III (1990)
RE: Clara going BTTF with doc and marty
I do not know if anyone ever caught this before and posted it on this board but here it is,in Back to the future 3, marty said to doc when he started to fall for clara, I don't know doc, why don't we take her with us? and doc said, I cautioned you not to use time travel for your own benefet and I must do the same.
Well it makes sense to me that because doc saved the life of a woman who was meant to die, then she is now his responsibility, and if he did leave her behind then she or her children or grandchildren could have serious reprocusions on future events, which is exactly what doc has been trying to avoid, so the smart thing to do is take her with them and keep her out of histories way.
The Astronaut Farmer (2006)
I have not seen this movie yet BUTT
The premise reminds me of a TV movie that became a series back in the 70s called Salvage, Andy Griffith played a junkman whos dream it was to go to the moon and salvage the stuff that NASA left behind and bring it back to sell it, so he builds a rocket ship from parts and equipment that NASA abandoned years before, he hires former NASA Mission control experts and a former astronaut and puts his dream in motion but because of I believe a health issue he does not get to go to the moon and sends the former astronaut and a woman instead, This was a great TV movie in my opinion and this new movie asetronaut farmer makes me think of the TV movie SALVAGE, BTW it did become a TV series but didn't last long.
