Lost (2004)
With Cane being canceled, Nestor Carbonell should be free for Lost
Now me and my girlfriend enjoy watching Lost together but what is it with this show? At first it looked great with the whole plane crashing on the island thing. Then it went in a whole bunch of different directions that make no sense.
Why didn't Charlie just swim out the window? What's up with that frickin' logo on the shark? How come Hurley didn't lose any weight? They can set the pylons to non-lethal levels? Speaking of the pylons, why didn't the smoke thing just jump over it and attack those lesbians? Walt looks way too tall now.
I've had it with this show. I'd rather watch reruns of Gilligan's Island...now THERE'S a show that makes good use of a setting like that.
I also find the show's fans rather unpleasant. I'll bet the IMDb Lost board is full of hacks, nutjobs and possibly terrorists.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Best regards,

La guerre des tuques (1984)
A great, timeless family film
One of the more successful movies in Quebec filmmakers' "Contes pour tous" (Tales for All) line of films, La Guerre Des Tuques is a simple story about kids who form 2 groups that will engage in snowball fights during the Christmas holidays.
Having seen this film recently for the first time since I was a kid, I was amazed at how it hasn't lost any of its appeal after all these years. Adults watching this will get a warm case of nostalgia (as well as some good laughs) and kids will be treated to a tale of friendship, loss and peace all while having a great time. I would say the main theme here is youthful innocence coming to a head with the realities of life.
I recommend this film to anyone. They don't make em' like this anymore.
