Fanaa (2006)
One of the best movies of 2006
Fanaa is about a blind Kashmiri girl, Zooni (Kajol), who meets Rehan (Aamir Khan) while on a trip. They fall in love, and plan to get married to each other. But while Zooni is having her eye operation, there is a bombing that takes place, and Zooni is led to believe that Rehan has died. But the truth is the rest of the movie.
Acting: Aamir Khan was fabulous as Rehan, having different shades at different times. I couldn't have imagined ANYONE better for this role than him. He is such a brilliant actor, and after Rang De Basanti and Fanaa, I really have much more respect for him. I hope he's working on another movie now.
Kajol was the perfect Zooni, and she played a blind girl so well. She never overdid the blind act, but she was very believable. I don't think any of the newer actresses of today could have held up this kind of role, and Kajol was perfect. She looks so pretty, and I too hope that she is coming out with more movies.
Tabu, Rishi Kapoor, and Kirron Kher hold up their roles well, and add to the overall film.
Aamir Khan and Kajol have created a new beautiful pair, and I can't believe that they're only acting together for the first time so far into their careers. They look so amazing on screen together, and they should act together again.
Fanaa is an amazing movie, and I have a feeling that it will be a timeless classic. Please watch this movie if you haven't already seen it!
Shaadi No. 1 (2005)
a fun movie
I thought that Shaadi No.1 was a fun movie to watch. I saw this movie after I saw No Entry and they were very similar, but it's definitely a sure time-pass!
Acting: Sanjay Dutt was OK, but he overacted and "missiles" and his Punjabi accent get very annoying after about 10 minutes.Fardeen Khan was fine in his role and justified it, but I didn't think he was that great with the comedy.Zayed Khan was the best overall in the movie and I think he did very well with the comedy. He also dances so well! I really did enjoy his performance in the movie, and he was definitely my favorite to watch.Sharman Joshi- I don't really know why but he kind of annoyed me in the film. He also justified his role.
The wives(Ayesha Takia, Esha Doel, & Soha Ali Khan): they didn't get much scope, but they were fine in their roles. I think the best was Ayesha Takia. The girlfriends (Aarti Chabaaria, Sophie Choudhary, & Riya Sen): They also didn't get much scope, but they fulfilled their roles. I would say the best was Aarti Chabaaria.
Songs: They were all very good, they had nice lyrics, and they were choreographed well.
It was fun to watch and I completely enjoyed it
Vaada (2005)
an amazingly interesting movie
I thought that Vaada was a very different movie with a lot of twists, turns, and interesting plots.
The basic plot of the story is that Amisha Patel is found dead, and Arjun Rampal, Amisha's blind husband, and his best friend Zayed Khan who also happens to be Amisha's obsessive ex-boyfriend, are trying to figure out who killed her.
Arjun Rampal did very well in his role, and he plays his part nicely as the helpless-looking husband who actually has other shades to him.
Zayed Khan was great in his role as the psychotic ex-boyfriend. I think this movie proved that he can do more that just play the "fun loving cool dude". He overacted in some spots, but it didn't go overboard.
Amisha Patel wasn't in the film very much because she's found dead in the very beginning, but for what she does do, I thought she wasn't that great.
The songs are good. I particularly enjoyed "Mein Ishq Uska" and "Maula".
watch it!!
