Extreme Prejudice (1987)

Mother of all action movies

When i saw Extreme prejudice in Swedish cinemas in 1987 it was heavily cut, the movie had become a real mess by Swedish censors. When i bought the U.K DVD, one scene was cut (killing of a rat) after that, i found the Canal Plus version it seemed uncut, however the movie seems to be subjected to bad editing or is it cut by the MPAA? I have even tried to contact Walter Hill, asking if Carolco or MPAA have done some cut's to this movie.I did not come in contact with Walter Hill. Besides from what's been mentioned above. The movie is an absolute masterpiece, with the best action cast, ever in a movie. Nolte has never been better same applies for Michael Ironside, Powers Boothe and William Forsythe to not mention Clancy Brown. Extreme Prejudice is a must see for all who loves movies. It is the mother of all Actioners

Black Christmas (1974)

The Mother of all slashers

Bob Clark´s Black christmas must be the most perfect achieved horror movie of all time, Bob Clarks direction is so stylish and tense. This one stands along with other flicks in the same genre as Halloween (1978) and Bob Clarks earlier achievment, Dead of night AkA The night Andy came home, recentely there was some information, that there should be a sequel, Black Christmas 2, also directed by Bob Clark, afterwards that information was deleted on the IMDB,(very unfortunately)

Again we see that, Philip Seymour Hoffman has never appeared in a bad movie, this one, he should have recieved an Oscar for, it is never boring though it´s not an action movie.It´s so dark and twisted and so amazingly funny.

This is a must see for all movie fans though it´s absolutely not a mainstream picture.

Lean backwards and enjoy. I gave it a 9 (Imdb) rating system

Bad Dreams (1988)

Just plain fantastic

This is one of the few masterpieces, when it comes to horror movies, of course does the movie borrow elements from, Nightmare on Elm street 3, but this one is far better, music, photography, acting and effects are class A. This must be Richard Lynch´s best role ever (Oscar worthy) Andrew Flemings direction is great, watch out for the scene where Harris Yulin (Deek Peasly from How the west was won-1979) gets crushed by a car, thats as much cinematic a scene can get. Lean back and enjoy.

Brutality in the East

I had such a joy, watching this movie, because there is possible to make great movies, without big budgets, Stephen Dorff plays well and Bob Hoskins has a really great role as the Russian godfather,the movie is very authentic and deals with matters such as trafficing of refugees, who is to be prostitutes against their will, of course. There are moments of very strong violence, think what you can accomplish with a pool cue. The scenery and photography is used very well. This one earns to be remembered.

In Hell (2003)

At last Van Damme delivers

At last he delivers, after such Bottom of the barrel movies, like Derailed, which must be one of the worst movies to date. In this one Van Damme makes one of is best roles, almost the best prison movie role since Brad Davis in Midnight express (1978) It´s so much fun, to see some new environments, a russian prison which looks so authentic, everyone plays well, standard ingredients is used very well, Strong brutal violence, sodomizing, no glory.

For the first time ever, Van Damme is beaten up during the whole movie, he tries to committ suicide he sleeps in shit. It´s so unusual to see these kind of scenes with Van Damme.

Ringo Lam´s direction is superb,this one and Maximum risk is the best one´s, both directed by Ringo Lam.

See it and really enjoy.

Halloween: Resurrection (2002)

Rick Rosenthal rocks Halloween

Rick Rosenthal is the absolutely best Halloween director;Sorry Carpenter! This is the seventh sequel, along with Halloween 2, these two are the best in the series, Rosenthal uses the moody creepy athmosphere, that also were in the early Halloween movies. I´m delighted to see that Jamie Lee Curtis also appear in this one, this movies only problem is that, there seems to be some kind of rule, to use, rap music singers like Busta Rhymes, in the last Halloween H20, it was LL Cool J, and other movies like Exit Wounds and Half past dead, so get rid off the Rap music singers and use them to play music, or put them in movies like: Menace to society or Dead presidents.

Hope there will be a perfect final Halloween, that is 100% creepy in the old fasioned way, without Rap music artists. The ingredients must be of the following.

1. Dean Cundey´s art of cinemathography 2. Rosenthal or Carpenter´s direction 3.The same creepy facemask, which Michael Myers used in the first and second Halloween, the modern mask doesn´t measure up. 4. Let Nick Castle or Dick Warlock play the Shape. 5.Finally make it a bit more brutal and graphic,

The Headless Eyes (1971)

Low budget masterpiece

This movie i watched for about 8 years ago. If a movie still is very memorable after that time, it just have to be a masterpiece. It starred swedish actor Bo Brundin, who made one of his best performances ever, the scene when he waits for the elevator, about 12 feets beside the elevator is just fantastic, also the scene when he carves out one of his victims eyes and a police officer shows up, is just cinematic perfection. I believe this one is very hard to find in video shops, but if you do, just lean back and enjoy.

The snake between her legs, the high point of the movie

This was one of the first movie, that i watched on video in the early 80´s, What i remembered was a lot of Kung-fu action, and pretty good acting, in that time the over the top sound effects when they were fighting was very disappointing, but still i remember one scene that was pretty strong, that was the snake torture, a woman tied to a bed having a snake that rattles between her legs. I think this movie is hard to get your hands on, but i still think it´s worth to watch. My rating is 6 out of 10

Crawlspace (1986)

Kinky Kinski

This must be the ultimate Kinski movie, It´s brutal, amazingly well played by Kinski, who is Karl Gunter, he appreciate the nazi methods in ethnical clean-up,but he thinks he´s better than the nazis´, becuase he won´t let anyone survive, this guy is gorgeously sick, must be the sickest potrayal ever, when i´t comes to the depiction of serial killers. It´s very faced paced and dosn´t have any boring moments, David Schmoellers direction is super, to bad he hasn´t directed any other great movies like this one. The movie´s only minus is the feature length,which only runs for about 80 mins.

At last, a great movie with Richard Gere, Not like Dr. T and his women wich i hated, The story is engaging and mysterious during the whole movie, Mark Pellington is one fantastic film maker, after his great Arlington road,wich i also loved, this one isn´t as dark as Arlington.., but is very moody and stylish, i won´t give away anything, you just have to buy it and keep it. I gave it a 10 out of 10

What a tragic thrill

This movie has everything, I want from one, it´s very depressive extremely engaging, about a lot of miss understood people, like Billy Bob Thornton wich gives his best performance ever also Halle Berry who won an Oscar for her role in this film, she absolutely wonderful, girls don´t look any better than her, i saw the Unrated version wich contained a lot more explicit sex scenes with her and Billy Bob, to se Halle Berry nude is a dream. The movie has one of the most surprising scenes i have ever seen, since Abel Ferraras The Funeral.

Session 9 (2001)

A lowbudget masterpiece

It was a long time ago since i saw such an entertaining movie. I can´t be any more exciting than it already is, and Caruso is such a great actor, the surrounding set i just remarkable, it´s fantastic that it excists houses like that still. I won´t give you anymore information about this movie, in that case i will ruin a fantastic experience. I gave it a 10 out of 10

A very underrated master piece that i liked much more than, William Lustig´s Maniac, this is far off better not as brutal as the earlier mentioned Maniac, but has a much more interesting plot, the story in short is that Spinell thinks he´s a movie director, but he´s not, he becomes obsessed by the beautiful Caroline Munroe from the Spy who loved me, Spinell wants her in his movie (eventhough he hasn´t got a movie to put her in) I laughed a lot in this very sick study,of the mind of the deranged serial killer, played byJoe Spinell. It has a lot of strong violence, throat cutting stabbings and some strangulation. Watch out for Spinells real mother that plays the killers mother also. I gave it a 10 out of 10

The Glass House (2001)

Nothing short of a masterpiece

My expectations for this movie were pretty high, becuase of actors, Stellan Skarsgård, Diane Lane and Bruce Dern(father of Laura Dern) My expectations, where really liven up to, Very stylish direction, the photography is superb, the music very effective and Skarsgård proves to be one of Hollywoods finest, he gives an Oscar worthy performance, as the stepfather of the 2 kids, played by the great Leelee Sobieski,Trevor Morgan. the psycological atrocities is very engaging in this movie, okey some scenes may be a little predictable, but overall ít´s a real thrill ride.

Sleepless (2001)

Argento´s best since Opera

Fantastic Horror movie that shows that Argento is still the master of supreme horror.Max von Sydow, gives as usual an Oscar winning performance, and the hooker in the beginning is the sexiest women since Monica Van Campen in Razorblade smile. The story is simple but very exciting (serial killer and the police work, to get him in custody) We have seen it numerous times in Manhunter, Silence of the lambs, To catch a killer and the deliberate stranger, all of these movies were great, but none of the mentioned, as brutal,as this one, Argento goes back to the violence, he showed himself of being so great at in the beginning of the 80´s, with movies like Tenebrae, Suspiria and Opera from 1990. Milli Grazi signori Argento.

When i saw this movie, i had read one of the earlier users comments, that this movie should have had a larger budget. I couldnt have agreed more. This movie has very good acting, specially Peter Weller for once! This i the story i so much missed in Bram Stoker´s Dracula with Gary Oldman.The impalement scenes of the turks are great. Jane March from "Playboy, Colour of night" is showing that she can be a great actress with her clothes on. This is a must see for those who enjoy Historical dramas. Finally The guy who plays Vlad Tepes(Dracula) is such a lookalike to Swedish actor Torsten Flinck.

I was very surprised when i watched this movie,first of all: never judge a book by it´s cover, because the cover of the movie, shows nothing short of a very cheap and lousy production But when i watched it, i was really thrilled.You can really deliver great movies, without a big budget.It is scary,brutal and very fascinating, too bad that american horror films always, shall have the scenes were the friends scare each other, before the real scare despite scenes like that, it´s far better than the Scream series. I give it a 9 out 10 Too bad, the restricted version must be very cut, or lousy edited.

Wishmaster 3: Beyond the Gates of Hell (2001 Video)

This must be one of the worst movies, ever to be made. It makes A crack in the floor, look like a masterpiece. I loved Wishmaster 1 and 2, these were horror masterpieces,it had all the ingredients that a good horror movie should have.Gore,violence and excitement, but this one has nothing of the mentioned above. Sean Connery must be very ashamed for having such a worthless actor as a son(Jason Connery)

I was very thrilled, when i saw this Sci-fi Japanese flick,this one´s good a little bit like John Mc Naughtons Borrower,this one´s more violent and has nothing off the Glam that uses to take place in most H.K movies This one really delivers,the opening scene, where some one has taken a persons brain,is really a grotesque one,I saw the H.K dvd that had a running time off 132 mins,that one´s gotta be uncut. It´s well and fast paced Sci-fi,thriller drama,a combination of like mentioned earlier:The borrower and the excellent, Seven. Enjoy and lean backwards.

Ringo Lam isn´t lame

Not since Ringo Lam´s Full Alert,have i been so thrilled about an H.K movie that really delivers it goods, Simon Yam is a bad guy we havn´t seen the caliber off in any recent other film lately,he´s totally ruthless. If you expect an ultra violent flick,like Hard boiled or The Killer this is nothing for you. This is just solid,damned fine acting and a good script,eventhough most of it is taken from Richard Donners Assasins with Stallone and Banderas,but this one´s far off better. A must see for H.K movies fans. It was really long ago ,since i saw a movie who really suprised me like this one.I saw Wallers movie Mute witness in 1994,and this one really ranks along in the same elite group of low budget masterpieces. Story in short:Pullman plays an defence attorney, who really plays ruthless one,he is a feast for the eye,maybe someday he will be one of the Hollywood greats,but maybe he has too such of a common face. I gave it a 9 out 10 Waller please surprise me again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ticker must be one of the worst movies ever made.With an excellent cast,like Seagal,Sizemore and Hopper, Albert Pyun can't even though the cast, make it right,everything becomes wrong, and why? I ask myself, maybe it's just because he's such a lousy director, Seagal made some outstanding movies in the early 90's like, Above the law,Hard to kill,Out for justice and the excellent Marked for death.The best things with his movies,are the very good choreographed fighting sequences,but in Ticker there aren't good fights in the ending when Seagal fights off some bad guys,the photography is shot at a extreme close-up perspective,so one's hardly can see any fighting action at all. Albert Pyun's Cyborg was a masterpiece compared to this crap,and that one also sucked. Avoid at all cost!!!!!!!!

No body does it better?I tell my self,Takeshi Kitano only gets better and better during the years,The movie´s plot is about a yakuza member(Takeshi)who goes to the U.S in the search for is younger brother who now a days is in the drug business Instead of what would happen in a U.S gangster movie,Takeshi dosn´t become mad when he finds out about is brother´s whereabouts.He declares war against every drug seller he can get is hands on.He wants to rule it himself.I must have seen about 3000 movies in my life(33 years old) and nothing is as violent as this one.It´s over the top Ultra violence during all the movie,it had a slight similarity to the greatest movie of all times Brian De Palmas Scarface. Welcome to Potters bluff, the sign says in the beginning of the film, then starts one of the smartest horror scripts ever, written by Dan O'Bannon. What can i say, it's Fulci brutal,it's got Oscarwinning performances, by first of all, James Farentino,directed by Gary Sherman: Director ot the 1972 masterpiece Death line A.K.A Raw meat with Donald Pleasence, God rest he's soul. The direction is superior,i't gives chills and twists from beginning to end.If you haven't seen this movie, you must be the happiest person in the world,because when you get your hands on it, enjoy
