I love all the characters of the Buffy universe . I just rewatched Buffy on Hulu and this show was an added treat to still be able to watch Angel and Spike. Spike comes back in an amulet in season five and he is funny as ever. He is haunting Angel which is a hilarious interaction! There are also a lot of other great characters in the show. The acting is really good and the plot lines are really fun with some humor too. If you like supernatural shows or vampire shows specifically then this show is going to be an enjoyable one to watch. Sometimes spin-offs aren't that great but this one really is! I would give it a chance!!!

Vampire Diaries is my all time go-to comfort show ! My favorite character is Damon Salvatore, played by Ian Somerhalder because not only is he the hottest vampire, he is hilarious! I also love Bonnie Bennet, played by Kat Graham; she's a very powerful witch who always has her friends' backs. Some other highlights are definitely Klaus Michaelson who is half vampire and half werewolf. As such he's the most powerful "original" vampire- he cannot be killed . There are a lot of romances throughout the story and family love is also a big theme. Whether it's Stefan and Damon. Jeremy and Elena or the michealsons family family love really holds the show together!

Oh my God this show is hilarious! I'm dying laughing right now so I decided to write the review. Larry David is literally the funniest person I have ever seen. Currently watching the one where Suzy wants to throw Jeff a surprise party and Larry is afraid she's trying to kill him with a heart attack. Half the show is just completely outrageous and half is things 90% of us are always thinking but would never say. Larry says those things and just keeps pissing off everyone around him (especially Jeff's wife Suzy). I love his friendship with Leon and with Jeff ; they're super loyal to each other and always have each other's back. It's actually a show with a lot of heart that finds the funny in things. Highly recommend!

Great Coming of Age Show

I'm on episode 4 and I haven't seen the original comic so this review is just for the show. I like the mystery of her figuring out her powers so far and also navigating growing up with her family and friends. I think the way they infuse art into the episodes is really cool, which probably put it up from an 8 to a 9 for me.
I definitely recommend watching it as a family friendly program that is good for all ages. I also really like how they show a lot of cultural representation in a positive light. It has something for everyone so I highly recommend it if you enjoy Marvel type movies and shows.

I really liked it! I read the book years ago so I remember the basic plot line and emotional themes of connection and living life again. I remember the cat and the neighbors and how everytime Ove (Otto) tried to take his own life it was almost like a mystical and poignantly comedic force intervened to prevent him from doing so. The message of kindness, love, hope and humor that flowed through the book also flowed through this film. I haven't seen the original movie but I definitely would like to based on what I've read in the reviews here. I think Tom Hanks did a really good grumpy old man and his neighbor's character did too. She captured that determined, kind and wise person who doesn't just give up on someone no matter how hard they try to push everyone away. It could be a difficult watch for some, esp. Bc of the multiple suicide attempts featured in the film. For me, though, just like the book, it's a reminder that we never know what good thing is right around the corner and we should always keep going.

This show has everything! Great acting, a beautiful love story, and really funny creative plots. The first time I watched it I just saw it as a cute love story that explores what it means to be human. But watching it over again, it can really function incredibly as an allegory of America, of waking up believing you're in the good place, but by paying attention, coming to the conclusion, "this is the bad place," over and over again. And the demons who created the bad place erase the humans' memories so they don't remember it's the bad place and continue to be tortured. The dog Micheal (demon) kicks is not a dog, but a construct of a dog. And in that moment the constructs of race and gender are also highlighted, which are explored throughout the show. It's really beautiful and artistic and shows that regardless of what's coming next, we should all work together to make right here and now the good place.

I really liked this show! Very interesting coming of age story with perseverance, love, hard work - all of it!! I am not into sports at all but after seeing how Colin Kaepernick was vilified and how much gaslighting surrounded his protests, I was interested in how he got to that point as a big time star willing to risk it all for his beliefs. There are a lot of reviews that are negative so at first glance it seems like a really low rating overall, but it was a really compelling story. I saw the term "race-baiting" a lot, but I am honestly not sure what that term means. It was one man telling his story. Yes, it talked about racism, because that's what he experienced. It also talked about family relationships, Homecoming, sports, friendships, disappointment, joy, and that journey we all go through of discovering who we are at that age. Everyone's journey is their own. When I was young, I mainly thought racism was a thing of the past- something I'd read about in a book or see in a movie. But that's only bc I never had to experience it. Now with the internet and so many more open conversations going on, it's more in the spotlight, and I feel like that's the best way to combat it.

This show was so good! It took me a few episodes to get into it, but there was a lot going on to keep it interesting once I did! The seasons are all really different from one another, and if you're just starting off like I did, it ends halfway thru Season 3, which was disappointing! The first two seasons have an ongoing plot that lasts the whole arc of the season, but the third isn't quite like that. A lot of people didn't like the unrealistic bits, but I was watching for entertainment, not looking for realism. Plenty of romance and suspense and surprises along the way. If you're looking for a fast paced show that keeps it interesting and you're pretty much stuck at home as many of us are, give it a whirl!
