Red, White & Royal Blue (2023)
Would've been great as a series
I said the same thing when I watched the trailer and I was right. The book had so much details that simply cannot be captured in a 2-hour movie. While, the movie does its best to capture important moments, many crucial moments were still lost to the winds. It's a good and entertaining movie but maybe I would've enjoyed it more if I hadn't read the book.
I missed the characters who were crucial to the story and to what makes Alex Alex. The characters they kept were watered down to the point of blandness and the story felt too fast-paced and rushed.
The chemistry between the leads though takes the cake and although their story could have been more expounded, it was really well done and for that I'm glad.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (2022)
Riverdale?
I really enjoyed this series. Butthe last 2 and half episodes, were a slightly different experience. The disjointed conversations and the "all over the place" plot reminded me of Riverdale, and not the first season.
The 355 (2022)
Destroy it already !!!
When Khadija smashed it, It was a "So it could be destroyed moment", I don't understand how all these "well-meaning" individuals had this dangerous thing and thought, "oh well, I'm going to give this destabilising pandora box to one government, so they can do whatever they want to do with it". Stupid, stupid and stupider.
Scream (2022)
Can someone tell me how a 17 year old 5ft 5 girl can overpower a grown man?
You'd think people with multiple experiences with serial killers would have more sense. They literally dumbed down Dewy just so that he could get killed, because there's no way he would not unmasked the killer after he shot her down.
I kept skipping because of the utter stupidity.
Though I'd admit the final battle was satisfying.
