Orpheus' Song (2019)
Dreamy film. A journey of self discovery with a touch of mythology
Overall enjoyed it. Follows the story of two close friends who won a trip to Greece. Here, they go on a hike which becomes somewhat of a labyrinth as they got lost. It is somewhat of a hero's journey story of self-discovery with a touch of mythology. It isn't an overly complex story but beautiful shot with gorgeous landscape, some parts are very sensual.
In the Flesh (1998)
Was surprised how much I enjoyed it
The acting was a bit awkward and corny at the time, but I was rather surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It was fast-paced. The story kept me intrigued. The emotional development between the protagonist is was a bit awkward but adorable in it's own way. It isn't a heavy movie. Something worth watching on a lazy day with a pretty straight forward story and a happy ending. God knows we have plenty of gay-themed movies that are awful, this isn't one of those in my opinion. It is an older indie film so I think one really have to see it for what it is.
Un rubio (2019)
Show, don't tell.
I was hesitant at first but I fell in love with this movie. There is a quietness to it that is both serene and yet intense. There aren't a lot of dialogues but the actors did a phenomenal job showing the emotions through very subtle actions movements. This is one of those movies that completely pull you in thoroughly. It feels like being there with them, bearing witness to it all. It didn't hurt that the "blonde" one is quite pleasing to the eyes.
Red Notice (2021)
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Exactly what I expected and hope for
It is fun and full of action. No one going into this expecting a deep movie to remember by, but it is exactly what it is for the genre and it was thoroughly enjoyable. It is a really interesting mix of actors but it works for me. If you want to kick back and enjoy a movie you don't have to think too much about, this is it.
The Man with the Answers (2021)
A simple, gentle, heart warming film
I enjoyed this film thoroughly. Film takes you on a road trip journey with our two protagonists, finding their ways. It is a film I would come back to again.
Vivarium (2019)
Makes me reflect about my life
This movie is full of metaphors. It is a reflection of the life we are ALL living in.
