Men of Honor (2000)
10/10
A feeling of real American inspiration and pride!
28 April 2001
I recently saw "Remember the Titans" and cried and cheered. I wished that I would have seen this spectacular film at the theater. I watched in total amazement that black service members were treated that way. I truly am thankful that Hollywood makes these kinds of movies. We could do away with the rest of the empty stories that are portrayed today that really don't do any justice for our thirst of history and inspiration. Mr. Gooding, Jr. and Mr. Deniro portrayed these sailors to the utmost extreme. That is why this is so real and telling. I cried and cheered again. But this time, even louder than before. Seeing this film makes me even more proud of our country's heritage and honor. To see prejudice being overcome and measuring a man by his heart rather than the color of his skin is truly inspiring, indeed. As long as the motion picture industry keeps making these real stories come alive and giving us people something to aspire to be - I'll have a movie to see. Thank you, writers, producers, cast, crew, and Mr. Braschears for telling this story and making us feel good. A.S.N.F.

Father Knows Best (1954–1960)
It truly is a piece of the Americana pie!

As a child of the Sixties I grew to love and appreciate the Andersons. I enjoyed watching and listening to the dialog and reactions by each of the members of the family. I truly came to understand what was definitely "right" and what was "wrong" in decision-making. I became apart of the family when I came running home from school and plop down in front of the TV and tune in. I really wish that I could have lived there in Springfield and have a family like the Andersons. To me they were the epitomie of the way a family was supposed to be. I actually learned some "habits" and values that I stole from the series. To this day, working as a teacher in my mid 40's, I find myself whistling the theme song between classes, at lunch, etc. I remember thinking about some of the situations that Bud and his sisters would get into and how they would resolve them. I would then apply to my own life. Maybe that is why I probably have had a 'wonderful life'. Thank you, Mr Tewksberry, for this indelible imprint on my life!
