Bryan Callen: Man Tears (2022)
Clever, Empathetic and Very Funny
This man could not be any more different to his podcast partner who used to fight. He is funny, clever, cultured and believable.
Great story teller and I love his obsession with being a man!
Glad he avoided thick boy productions and seemingly did it himself.
Always smiling and has a very distinctive delivery style. I hope that he gets what he deserves in the way of views on YouTube.
I wonder if this is the beginning of more Callen channel content? He needs to learn how to promote himself better. Watch the latest fight companion on Joe Rogan and you will see the moment he launched this special with fanfare. It almost seemed like he released it on a whim lol
A good way to spend an hour.
The Gringo Papi (2022)
What on earth is going on over there?
The problem we have is the great comedians of our generation are not part of the gang that has has most power. I blame Rogan for all of this. He is a decidedly average stand up who has power and money and you get these little fan boys like Schaub who want a piece and judge themselves against his average talents.
This is awful. There are thousands of comedians out there who can better this but for some reason Schuab gets away with it. The fact he is rarely trashed by other comedians shows they are all scared of upsetting the Rogan juggernaut.
This special is just not funny, borderline racist without the laughs to make up for it, sends no clear message and worst of all is given a laugh track.
The man Schaub portrays on stage is a camp, giggly, plagiarising narcissist whislt in reality we know him to be an aggressive know all who loves to tell us what a great dad he is.
Schaub you obvs have a fan base but it's for your podcasts. Stick with that and be the best in your field but please stop attempting to find a funny bone in your body as it just isn't there.
Even the interactions with the crowd is so unnatural. The people he is pointing at are thinking "who, me? Why u pointing at me?"
Red Notice (2021)
Enjoyable Simple Romp to While Away 2 Hours!
The world has obviously got far too serious if you spend your time reviewing a film and giving constructive criticism that contains Reynolds and Johnson.
You know what you are going to get and it delivers on that front. Mildly humorous quips, good level of action, good character interaction and many many cringe moments.
What do you expect? For that reason, it gets a 10. I knew what to expect, I got what I wanted and it passed 2 hours with a healthy grin on my face and little brain power.
