Mother's Day (2016)
There are better ways to celebrate Mother's Day
I dont mind romantic comedies as long as they are funny or charming at least. Mother's Day is the oppisite of that, there is nothing positive to say about this film as a romantic comedy. There is no chemistry between the couples, the so called comedy scenes are not even funny, the dialogue doesnt match well when they try to be funny. There are scenes in here that feel like they are just thrown in there to fill out the length of the film. I have enjoyed several films of director Garry Marshall in the past, sadly his last film is not only his worst film but one of the worst romantic comedies i have ever seen. Mother's Day will definetely be remembered, but not for a good reason.
The Exit Row (2023)
What could have been good, is destroyed by the stalker
I didn't mind the story of The Exit Row, or the main characters of the film. But honestly the actor Michael Swidley as the stalker Clint Meyers is so bad i have never seen a worse performance as a stalker. Im sure hes a nice guy in real life, nothing personal against him, but his acting in this film is really bad. Didn't buy him one second as an effective stalker. The film is ok, it's just the performance of Michael Swidley that doesn't work at all. If they would have tried making the stalker character much stronger and more effective on screen, this could have been an interesting film. It's too bad, because I enjoy some parts of the film.
The Jack in the Box (2019)
A tasteful treat for fans of Puppet Master
If you enjoy the Puppet Master franchise, and love demonic clowns, then i got good news for you. The Jack In The Box is almost like throwback to the 80's and 90's horror films with a touch of Hammer Films influences. Creepy atmosphere and Jack The Clown is not the clown you want at your bachelorette party. Well worth checking out.
